I ran through the Clinoids near teleporter #3 didn't aggro later ran past with Raskovink claimed and they started casting on me, strange thing was they only casted one spell and wouldn't follow after that. No idea what was going on there.

I had a similar occurance with gigadaphinas in lathiene (the horseshoe crab looking ones) turns out they started aggroing my party after we killed a light elemental glowing one, we had previously walked through them looking for a VNM tier 2 without sneak or invisible and they did NOT aggro till we killed the epherial one.

I don't really understand it. I sometimes run people through Tahrongi past the Gulch Limule, and some days they'll aggro me, others I can have a tea party there and they won't do anything. This is with and without lights, always at full HP, so I think there must be some sort of other trigger to aggro them.

I just went back to lathiene at least 12 hours later after my run with the shiny giga, it seems i now have permanent aggro from them no matter the conditions, maybe these mobs build hate?

Remember i ran through these mobs before killing the shiny white one without any sort of sneak or invisible and they did not aggro me till i killed their epherial.

Limules fucked me up just running by them once in Tahrongi. It was after an EXP session and killing Bhumi though if that has anything to do w/ aggro.

I had the same experience yesterday while re-pinning Piasa. Hadn't done any exp, just solo'd a MegaMaw and a couple VNM.

I apologize if these have been asked before.

- Does anyone have a drop rate history of getting the Viridian Abyssites of Destiny/Avarice off the Ephemeral Clionids/Limules, respectively? Are they the stingy bastards I expect them to be?
- Has anyone triggered a !! on Bhumi to get him to drop his Abyssite?
- Is there any reason at all to kill Akash?

On SMN/RNG i was 0/4 on Bhumi and Emph.Limule while claiming with Garuda. Switched to claiming with a chakram then letting pet take over and i was 1/1 on both Abyssite after that. Didnt have to trigger !! for Bhumi. Does a pet agro'ing first have any bearing on Abyssite drop? Still 0/12 on Emph.Clionids.

The only thing ive seen Akash drop was Temp items.

1) dunno
2) I have killed Bhumi maybe a dozen times, and I got the Abyssite 1/3 of my pulls. I've never once seen a "!!" on Bhumi.
3) If there's no Abyssite from Akash, it could be the 1000 EXP (and ~250 Cruor?) he's worth.

* I got my Destiny off the Wyrm (I think he's 100% for the claimer maybe?). I've had no luck with Avarice, but I've only killed about four Clionids.
* I haven't triggered a !!, but I went 1/2.
* Only for the xp/Cruor. If you can round up a few of the weak NMs in Abyssea, you can get a decent amount of xp in a short amount of time.

Doubt pet aggro matters, me and a thf friend went to kill a few tonberries while waiting for some other friends and I pulled one with carby and boom got abyssite, was first pull actually lol. Talk about luck!

Along those lines, has anyone gotten the Abyssite from tonberries, when pulling with gravity? I mean, it shouldnt matter, but here I am, 3 hours and 0/90 later, and no abyssite. I've tried sight aggroing twice, and claiming with same day/oppoosing day elements, and nothing.

Could just be a bad streak I guess, but I'm tired of losing stones to this shitty drop rate.

I went 1/88 myself, I had pulled with everything from gun to quick draw to elegy to chi blast, it's just horrible luck. I saw about 9 people get theirs while I was getting mine, most of them in under 10 kills.

I too tried all sorts of weird/strange ways of pulling the Tonberries, after hearing several testimonials from people who linked tonberries and who pulled big ones, and didn't get any results. I personally didn't see any larger-than-normal tonberries, from whom a lot of people said they get drops. I went 1/44 on my third Abyssea run after a plain old non-linked Elegy pull on a normal-sized Tonberry during an unconsequential moon phase and day of the week with no special items, and I didn't do any super secret Tarutaru dance for good luck. So it just seems to be purely chance.
