So is that the NM you need to kill for the main Abyssea quest?
So is that the NM you need to kill for the main Abyssea quest?
I was just in the alliance when we got the kill. I got the CS before I entered the zone, so no you do not need the key items at all to complete this quest
This key item allows you to infuse Atma for a buff. The buff wears off when you zone out, and it costs 100 Cruor to infuse. No idea on full duration, but using the Atma we got, Atma of the Savage Tiger, it gives "AGI+: Major, 'Double Attack'+: Minor". Didn't really feel like testing DA, but the Major Agility is +30.
If the Atma is used up (I honestly have no idea how that system works), I have to wonder if it really wears off on exiting or if it's like a latent that only works in Abyssea zones. The buffs you buy with cruor are permanent (in Abyssea), right?
Doing demilune abyssite run with my ls tonight, going to try and pop a T2 if we can get lucky fast enough on the T1, has anyone popped la theine T2 yet?
Will 6 people be good enough for the T1, or should I get more? We'll probably be rolling with 2-3 dncs, a drk or two, maybe a red mage, and I might be able to get a black mage and another sam for the run.
Should this be good enough or are these VNMs more alliance or you'll wipe and get eaten alive NMs?
has anyone found the blu necklace yet????? I assume its in abyessa but i am trying to find out zone, mob, etc.
The blu necklace drops from a NM Fished from a pond in la Thiene I believe.
Thanks, I think I might be able to pull off 12 people tonight so Im hoping the la theine mobs wont give us much of an issue. On the other hand I believe
Also Im bring a couple animas to see if they do anything for shits and giggles
been keeping an eye on the thread but havent noticed any mention of it. has anyone found the shaolin belt yet?
Just reread most of the thread again to collect some info I had missed. Here's a few things to consider.
Ancient Abyssites:
A few of them can be purchased from the Cruor Prospector NPC. So far it appears as though these key items will remain on you indefinately. It's still too early to say but they appear to last for quite some time at the very least. It would also appear as though all ancient abyssites will function in all areas, not just the area they're obtained in (can anyone confirm/disprove?). There are 5 ancient abyssites to be obtained in each area, and 5 that can be purchased from the NPC. Also note that there are two different sojourn buffs that will extend your time. If a full party of 6 can obtain all of these buffs in addition to atmas and temp items that seems incredibly powerful.

Aura Lights
Salmijr has said so earlier in the thread, and I think he is right that the basic 3 colors correspond to the way an enemy is defeated. Killing an enemy with a weaponskill gives a ruby light, magic gives an azure light, and I assume a melee hit would be amber light. The pics I dug up throughout the thread prove this I think (see below).
The mystery seems to be how do we upgrade the lights strength, and what does it affect? Maybe it could relate to the NM weaknesses somehow? e.g. if you had a mostly melee setup, and wanted to ensure you're NM spawns with a melee related weakness, you make sure you have amber light before spawning? Just one idea.
The regular ruby/azure/amber also seem to be different from the pearlescent, golden, silvery, ebon, lights. At least they're amount of strengths differ. The basic 3 lights have far more variation in strength.
Spoiler: show
Defeated regular mob with magic, faint light is azure.

Defeated NM with magic, feeble azure light.

I repeatedly received faint pearlescent on back-to-back Thalassinons and Linules from melee-hit kills, and feeble amber from a red chest dropped by Bhumi...
Yeah, I hate to burst the bubble on the light theory, but I get Pearlescent on WS kills constantly, ruby on melee hit kills, and I've even had my light change while standing nearby to a kill and doing nothing but opening a chest for the party.
