This leaves 2 ivory abyssites known in the dats (fortune and acumen) that are the odd ones. It could be they wound up not putting them into the actual game. Or perhaps they could drop from chests or mimics in any area and just aren't counted into the NPC's official tally.

I'd like to ask if anyone who has purchased an ivory abyssite could find out if purchasing one in one area applies to all 3. Or can you buy the 3 ivory ancient abyssites in each area? My guess is that buying one applies to all 3 areas.

And that's part of what my little project is supposed to find out. And it's best to start it NOW, before people start having multiple abyssite to throw off tally numbers.
Apparently those 2 stray abyssite don't bug you as much as they do me.

Could you get a MNK to test whether the Haste is activated by Footwork and how much the +DMG is?

Max tested crit: 312

312 max crit means 100 base damage. 10 from fStr, 37 from skill, 18 from FW, leaves 35. True max crit would then be 315. From the clustering (mostly low 300's), highly unlikely to be higher than that.

So, latent active during Footwork. Kick damage of +35.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet. I went in and ordered 90 minutes with my 3 stones today, then left to save my timer. Now later on this evening I go to resume my visit timer but you can't enter any of the maws without possessing at least one traverser stone. Argh, annoying.

That was never the case. In fact, I have entered without stones on multiple occasions.

You definitely need a stone if you don't have a timer going, though. Let me log into my mule and confirm whether or not they changed something.

I thought I had too. It gives me a message saying "you do not posses a traverser stone" and won't ask me to enter. I'm not so sure what to think.

All right, so reading the fine print once again here's what I think happened.

Players will automatically be transported out of Abyssea when their visitant status wears off. To reenter Abyssea, you must first obtain more traverser stones. Please note that 60 minutes (Earth time) must elapse before your next visit to Abyssea. Those who voluntarily leave Abyssea with greater than five minutes of visitant duration remaining, however, are not subject to this wait. Since a character's visitant duration and waiting time is common across all Abyssea areas, you may move freely between areas so long as the effect duration permits. Upon reentering, however, even those with carry-over visitant duration must have the status reissued by a conflux surveyor. Be warned: leaving Abyssea at this point without reacquiring the status will render your remaining time invalid.

What I did was: I ordered some time and got visit status, left, then entered another area but didn't get my visit status, and left again. So it appears that nullifies any time accrued. And with no remaining traverser stones you are unable to enter. Yeesh whysocomplex.

So if you ever order some time, don't ever enter abyssea and exit without getting your time again first folks.

Can't get any of the cuts cenes at the maws without a stone, I know that much. Probably because the NPCs in the scenes all specifically mention the Traverser Stone you're holding.

Notice "An unseen force is drawing you towards the maw." All seems to be working fine.

Could also be another issue, but I've already done all 3 cs before tonight. I think the problem was what I outlined in my edited post. Oh wells.

Oh, yeah. That's exactly the problem. SE specifically stated not to do that in their original patch notes.

This has probably already been discussed, but..

Seems like people have been able to get lots of EXP doing this. There's an alliance( 18/18 ) of people in Tahrongi right now that's made about 37k exp in 90mins. A few of those people have been in there that long off just one stone due to numerous time extensions received from the blue boxes. Also, their exp/cruor received from boxes are hitting the 1k areas respectively and they're getting about 216exp/kill off the mandies.

Anyone else able to confirm with a similar experience, or is this just a bunch of BS?

Just got done with a 6 hour long Abyssea - Tahrongi. I should actually say... I got tired and decided I needed to go to bed.

We got 25 10min Time Extensions. People were having to Warp2 because they got to level 80 and maxxed their merits.

I leveled from 76 to 80. Mobs were giving ~360 exp per kill for level 80s.

I had over 50k cruor by the time I quit. We watched other groups enter/exit.

I've done Abyssea 2 times before this attempt. I never saw a time extension ever either. Also I never seen a giant chest either. We saw a giant gold chest that could hold 5+ tarus.

We started getting time extension chests after the 30min mark. The closest we got to almost being booted was around 12 mins and then we got 2 extensions that brought us up to 32min and we were snug there for pretty much the entire time.

Just when you think you're starting to figure Abyssea out, something like this comes up. Holyfuck80expcamp?!? aside, wonder how (if) this could be exploited to extend Abyssea runs with other goals in mind.

What was inside the giant chests?

Yeah just got out, maxed out to capped xp for 80 when I walked in I was 2k into 79. Also picked up 8 merit points.

Most xp/limit points per mob capped at 362. Positively insane.

They conned VT-IT but the XP scaled up the longer we were in there. At 6hrs exactly we'd not gotten anymore time extensions and it kicked the lot of us that hadn't left and altered our time in there.

Some of the gold chests had 2 augmented Adaman Barbuta with random ass augments, also multiple pop items for alot of the NM's in the zone were found in the chests as well.

The exp usually picks up in the last 30 minutes of the 90 minutes we set ourselves up for. It was in the last 30 minutes that we got the time extension.

The chest says something like 'You feel a familiar stone'.

We never got anything higher than a 10 minute extension. They were in blue chests only too. We missed out on a few because the numbers tricked us pretty good. Example: first number 20, then 18, then 4. Obviously wouldn't attempt to roll down when the odds of it being lower are less than higher. I could see a group keeping treasure keys for these time extensions. Potentially keeping you in there for a very long time.

Also it doesn't matter where you are in the zone, you will receive the time extensions just like exp and cruor.
