So the other day, I pushed this button, and some guy punched me. Uncertain of this phenomena, I pressed the button again, and again he punched me. I figured it had to be a coincidence, so I decided to watch, and 9 other people pressed that button, they all got punched. I'm starting to believe that there might be a trend, and maybe soon, it will become an actual possibility that pressing that button = punched in face.

They can drop high level exp and cruor chests, so I don't see why not.

There has been a group on my server going for almost 48 hours, one guy changed to whm changed to whm at some point and took it 37-76 apparently. They are constantly switching out people, my ls mate just replaced a sam and after an hour he has already gotten 50k+ exp.

Il call bs on that then, 50k in the first hour shouldn't be possible as he would start at 60-80 xp per kill any way. Also I thought abyssea was over level 70 only?

I'm not actually there, just hearing all of this from my friend. It seems most the allience is going to go for the "morning shift" to replace them. He is getting 340 a kill, it has been spiking up due to the red chests.

Edit: just got invited to it, I'll see whats up though I imagine it isn't anything ground breaking just has been done for an extremely long time.

Last night we did a five hour uber farm.

We focused on building azure light and within a half hour were getting max exp and cruor chests.

It took the first hour to get our first TE, and we got two right in a row. fifteen minutes later two more dropped.

After two hours, every other mob was dropping a chest, with the majority being blue.

After that it took us 3 hours to build up golden light to reach 600 exp a kill.

The best way to build azure light with magic spam is to just have blms try to snipe it out of the melee's instead of having the melee's hold off. Most decent blm's should be able to figure out when they need to cast a particular tier to get killshot. I start my tier 3 nuke at about 40-50% health and can get the kill shot maybe one out of three times. Have two other blms trying this and most kills should be magic.

Also, I swear to christ, Abyssea gives you more TE's when you say how much fun you're having instead of bitching.

So, does light level decay over time? Once I reach max level azure light, can the blm's stop sniping and not have to worry about the light dropping a level?

does anyone have a complete list of where each atma comes from so far?
i'm working on compiling that and adding that to my chart

tho notably the first 5 from each zones seem to come from the title dropping NMs based on the names of the atma.

so far i think we only know..

do you have to know their weakness (!!) before the start dropping these or is it some random thing?

abyssea info also seems to be slowing down so i wont be updating the charts for a week maybe. i like how they look now

well, I'm wondering abo0ut 2 things.

are the lights you get from red chests/glowing mobs bigger or smaller boosts that the ones you get from killing mobs? there could be a faster way to build your azure light.

In light of the new light building/killshot information. are we positive that killing glowing mobs resets the chain?

even if it it did reset the chaim it doesnt mean that we cant kill them before it.

I remember my 2nd run in abyssea, I was duoing with a friend, just killing ephermeral Cliniods when we ran into the psychopomps. we decided to kill a few, killed about 4-5 and every single one of them droped a chest (were invisible tho so we couldnt open them). I think its very possible that killing ephermeral mobs gives a way more powerful boost to your light than killing normal mobs (they are surrounded by light anyway!).

Just thought i'd share my experience in abyssea w/ u all.

Actually i took a level 30 mule inside, it exited at level 45 after a bad run of minimal TE. At level 30 exp for the mule started at about 100 behind everyone else. At about the 3 and a half hours the mule passed the 500xp mark. Exp chests at the start of the run gave more exp than the mobs did, naturally.

Again, how do you build Amber light and does it really increase EXP per mob like I've heard?

Can you only get it from red chests? A friend was telling me how a group got a whopping 300,000 EXP by the end of their session, though she can't recall exactly how long they were in there.

My opinion on Shiny mobs are that they are a wildcard. They can significantly boost ur light or dramatically affect your current chain or affect other unknown aspects.

Killing them between your chain by default will reset it due to killing a mob outside of your current mob.

As for the low lv jobs, thats interesting and a nice way to lv but I guess you'll be stuck on chest duty. With the amount of xp you can get Im sure everyone is gonna cap out their job and merits very fast.

There is also no reason you cant sync the entire alliance to a lv 50 or whatever. Mobs will adjust to your current level. Might be a nice way to lv any job at any lv in an alliance setting. Although the lowest lv i've seen mobs is DC to 75 so maybe that isnt so effective so maybe lv 65+

in a 14man group atm, was 18 but the inpatient fuckers left.

Currently been in for about an hour, got azure light on pretty much every mob, we have established we have hit the light cap cause we got a blue chest with 1k cruor.

Issue is in that hour we have been here we have literally got about 6 chests, 2 red 4 blue. I realise the TE chests are a stroke of luck my issue is we are literally getting like no chests almost :S


No idea whats up but it normally rains chest at this point, not sure whats happening... any suggestions?
