I found a good camp for the trial 849(Ice staff) and felt like sharing.

Lizard pet on Strapper in mamook at E-9

There's 2 bst poping lizards right next to each other. You can just one shot them with a blizzardIV which make the trial a breeze.

I took a SS of the camp with pos/map... will get a friend to post it for me soon.

    I'm conflicted on what to do with my Crook, and I'd like some opinions;

I can pretty much rule out the Ice Staff for now since Aquillo's is +2 to both, as well as 5 INT and 10 Elemental Skill - that's a hell of a lot of accuracy with good power (and since I"m elvaan I need all the help I can get on BLM)

So I've narrowed it down to either Indra or the -5 Dark Avatar staff. Indra would be a massive power boost over my NQ thunder staff, which I wouldn't even really miss on my SMN as I almost never use Ramuh, at least not for any extended period of time outside of SMN burns (in which case the staff is irrelevant anyway)

On the flipside, -5 Perp on Fenrir and especially Diabolos would be epic. The prick just consumes way too much MP for my liking, and with that -5 I could get it down to a much more manageable amount. Is it even possible, with summoning skill gear, to get a positive MP flow, or just minimize the drain? (Not counting other buffs like Ballad or Refresh)

ARGH it's maddening, I can't decide which to do.

    Tyvm!

This would slightly be faster than the goblin beetle camp at Sauru S. Which entrance would be the fastest way to get here btw?

edit: nvm I think I figured it out

51/150 on Cure staff elementals and Indra nuke is done...not sure where to go next...

I'm debating Fire damage for meteor (are comet/meteor elemental even?), Ice damage (isn't it -22.5 acc compared with aquilo?), or maybe Wind acc...

I kind of want to get done what I can in summer while I can which makes Fire staff a crapshoot for me.

Basically just wondering what others think, and wondering if 1 skill = 1 macc?

Meteor and Comet, if we get it, should be non-elemental?

But then SE made Mega and Gigaflare fire so who the hell knows.

Get both, it's what I'm doing. Went for Dark-5 first; yes you can get a refreshing Diabolos.

Nothing amazing, but after playing around, I've found what is probably the most efficient way for me to do the last Indra trial:

    http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...722_193537.jpg

    Basically:
    - blink/stoneskin
    - gather 3 or 4 mobs and sleepga them
    - run to max casting distance
    - Thundaga III > Blizzaga III > Sleepga I all without stopping (buffs should wear during sleepga)
    - redo stoneskin, plus med/convert if needed
    - Thundaga III (occasionally need a Thundaga 1 after)

You can play it safe by pulling less mobs or rebuffing more often. I tried 5 at once and although I still didn't get interrupted, I took quite a beating, so I'm sticking to 3-4 since gathering is time consuming anyway.

Overall it certainly makes the trial less boring!

Meteor can be resisted with dark resist gear. Comet not so much AFAIK though.

TBH if boyada tree doesn't have people killing a lot of those funguars its much easier to get it done there.

you guys have got to think about next update/trials, they'll likely add more macc and maybe more dmg to them. Just make them and get it over with for the next update.

Alternatively, they could slash the requirements some more in future updates. There is no rat race to be Special Olympics champion; it's all in the mind.

Good idea, I just started going to Grauberg cause they were the lowest shrooms in the list and it was easier to get to >.>

Or as suggested a few pages back, join the NIN/THF/etc. out in Grauberg and snipe the kill with Thunder III (even a half resist as RDM still did over 250 damage). They get haste and you get your killshots. Grauberg funguars are plentiful and respawn in 5 minutes.

So are the ones in the tree, go with a partner blm and you can kill them nonstop because they repsawn as you get back to the first set. 5 funguars per room, some rooms more when you gather two rooms.

So there's a lot of arguing and penis waving in this thread that I got bored of digging through. So I'm just gonna ask a quick question:

Elvaan blm. I should be going for all the +macc staves, correct?

Rule of thumb for BLMs: Go the DMG route, not MAcc, get Thunder, do Ice if you want for less resistful mobs and keep Aqulios for resistful stuff, and if you like to torture yourself, do the rest.

I only did Indra's, magian crap is too annoying to do, though ill prob do Ice if the next update ups it's MAcc.

taru blm here too. Indra's and Varuna's ftw. Everything else is optional at this point. Might do the Fire staff....might.
