Ice staff is 10x more annoying than thunder. Just got to the first non weather trial, and im already pulling my hair out.
Wow you know the trial is shitty when you have to mark up an obscure zone map! Thanks for the info though, finished Indra's +1 tonight, so onto Varuna's+1...FML
Was contemplating that it's possible to have the Lv85 staves for DMG and Lv80 staves for ACC, that way can have both DMG/ACC Staves that are greater than their Lv51 HQ equivilent and be able to macro them in.
JUST A THOUGHT!
(Fuck me though if I'm doing another *thinks* 3 staves)
How has the new game content been in regards to resist rates? It seems to me that resistance is less of an issue, so perhaps it's worth noting that in a majority of the cases, damage will serve you better.
Ive noticed a shit more thunder resists since switching tbh.
Just bad luck? No way losing 10 Macc is having that huge an impact.
Only needed to swap to macc set vs fulldamage on the Iratham model NMs in abyssea, everything else has been not noticeably different than before. YMMV though, Ele338(not recapped) Int94+53(before abyssea buffs) Macc+4 + Affinity+1 in nuking set.
Finish Goetia Petasos+1 and you'll be well set either way.
Cant wait till BLM AF3 set gets rolling, no one has found anything yet thoughSuch a badass set, sucks that it always seems that BLM items are always the hardest/last to be discovered.
Yeah I know the +2 Hat is just /drool.
Another thing ive noticed is that ive been getting interrupted much less, like near 0. With aquaveil up it's np at all, I can have 9 mobs hit me and all my spells will go off. But even w/o aqua ive been getting almost all spells off.
MPKd twice now in Kuftal. Fucking crabs.
IF SE expects us to kill 200+ mobs, yes im going to gather 20 of these fuckers at a time and kill them. Same two people come over and kill my crabs when theyre near death.
I did crabs in Pashhow [S]. There's 2 marshes where you can find 7 crabs (3 in the others?). One is the marsh near the maw, I don't remember where the other one is, I think to the southwest? Nice quiet spots, outdoors so 5 minute respawns.
Weekend, everything is packed.
If anyone is stuck wondering where a good place to solo the trial for Indra's +1 is, I started (and finished) mine off yesterday (couldn't find any other BLM's doing it), and here's an easy place to do it.
As saplings also count as treants for the trial, I went to Crawler's Nest [S]. When you OP into the zone, turn around and go through the doors and head downwards.
Get stoneskin up (you'll need a decent stoneskin build for this) and start as follows:
1) There's 4 saplings on the first stretch leading down to the first opening with the 2 bombs in it. Run past the first 3 saplings and stun the 4th one and run back the way you came to link them. Sleepga/nuke them until they are dead. The reason I did it this way is because the bombs will agro magic casting so I took them as far away as possible to be sure I didn't agro them.
2) Run back down and head through the small circular room with the 2 bombs in it and through the tunnel heading north on the other side until you reach the crossroads. Ignore the 1st sapling you run past for now, you'll be coming back for it in a minute.
3) To get the next group of 3 ready for knocking off, link the sapling who hangs about at the crossroads with the saplings in the tunnel leading west. The 3rd sapling sometimes hops up onto the upper area but you just need to cast something on it to get it to come back down. Sleepga/nuke until dead.
4) Go back to the crossroads and head south to the sapling you ran past earlier. Stun it and run back to the crossroads and head north. You'll have linked 3 more. Sleepga/nuke as usual.
5) Run back to the first set of 4 saplings who should just have re-spawned if you've been doing it reasonably quickly and repeat the process again.
For nuking I found 2 rounds of Thundaga III and a Thundaga II finished them off with ease. I finished Indra's +1 trial in approx 7-8hrs doing it this way.
It's a lot quicker than doing them individually....Be prepared to apply stoneskin on a regular basis and good luck!
If the other people just need kills you could team up with them probably...
Finished off Indra's Staff +1 last night \o/ and about to head out to Riverne to work on Varuna's. I've also been working on my Dark DMG staff and it's almost to the point where I need Dark kills and it just seems like it's going to suck. I don't have SMN lvl'd, so the best bet seems to be going out with a DD friend to get mob to low HP with on BLM/SCH spamming Alacrity Drain as needed. Other thoughts? (Yes - I've thought of spamming SMN80+ just for this lol)
