Indra +1: I went to Waj and killed saplings there (not too far from the leypoint), theres a group of about 10 near some Trents and Tigers, but you can easily move around to avoid aggro, the whole time I was there I probably only got aggro three times. I gathered up about 6 to 10 at a time and continued as normal.

Varuna +1: Also went to RivB like everyone else and just killed the 6 Wyv past the scale port. They respawn every 16min so it too me 1.5 days (about 15hrs) to do this, but I was working on something else at the time so this worked fine. If you want to speed it up a bit there are 5 other EP Wyv previous, and some DC ones as well that can speed up the process.

I was slacking on staff skill until today... go out and get yourself Cataclysm (290 Staff, need PLD MNK WHM WAR sub to use, but you're meleeing already so PLD WHM WAR aren't bad). Runs ~800 at 100TP and scales up with TP, ~1400 at 300.

Gear for Cata, and I'm sure better sets exist, copied directly from Vido set.

Anyways, Cata is stronger than Vido even at 100TP, and I often ended up having to hold Vido's when I did the previous trials, since Cata will scale up you might be able to release it 1-2 hits earlier.

If you're working in a group, also consider it's AoE, have your partner(s) gather several mobs at low life and Cata them all at once. Damage didn't seem to take aga spell reduction, so you could possibly (if anyone pulls this off, I want a screenshot) cluster all 250 mobs at low HP and complete the trial in 30 seconds.

If you're one of the people with visitant out the ass, there are 8 wyverns on a 2.5 min repop in konschtat. It took me about 3 hours to do start to finish there with a friend. If you start with 120 min you'll probably get enough time extensions to finish it, given you have a decent killspeed going and open pearl boxes.

Break-Nuke? That's a shit trial for sure but lots of people have undead trials and skeletons are usually the easiest, so partner shouldn't be impossible to find. Doing Oa3 Claws path in eldieme, dropping in the W room there was almost always someone else down there.

The previous guy understood. Just engage to get use of the defense and evasion bonus then you won't take any damage. Then nuke them.

I have to say the new stage of varuna's +1 isn't AS BAD as I originally thought. I took someones advice here and just went to the island with 5-7 pops on it near the nitro clusters. I clear all 5-7ish with blm/rdm then read or work on something irl for 10-15 mins then reclear mobs/repeat. I'm sure it could be faster if I was going back and forth between the 2 large groups but meh, this seems to keep my sanity in check. Also been afking there because the run there really is the worst part about it. Woke up this morning cleared, took shower, recleared, got ready for work, recleared, etc. It adds up and makes it manageable.

Thanks Paul for the map. I don't understand the wyvern > ice connection though? Treants for thunder made sense since trees get struck by lightning. Any ideas?

Am I mistaken to think that killshots now give more pts per mob and that you can can team up for them?

Killshots do not give more points per kill, but as long as you team up with someone on the exact same trial, their killshots give you credit as well. It's kind of nice, allows for teaming with multiple BLM's for some hot -ga action.
