Attohwa's your best bet (only option) if you want to be in abyssea...otherwise I did a loop of skeletons in Eldieme. Locked staff on my mules, and just did killshots with aeolian.

Because its super hard to equip a staff precast then swap to a different one before it lands?

Have fun making -cast and -recast versions of all eight staves just so you can be 1337. I have better things to do.

I went to Abyssea-Grauberg and kills Sensenmanns. It went surprisingly fast single nuking them. I averaged about 70-75/hour.

I'd recommend attohwa over grau for fana drinks - 150 resistance credits, SS+Phalanx will last long enough to aggro every skele, then fana > kill should take 4-5 aga/aja - Firaja > Firaga3 > *Thundaga3 if above 50%* > Aeroja > Aeroga3 > Aeroga2 if needed

Bear in mind that Atma of the Beyond is a fantastic atma for this whether on BLM or WHM for light magic kills. Simply join any Abyssea party on beasts and snipe with Solace'd Holy and an MAB set. BLMs can just solo with Banish2/Banishga2 after some light nuking.

As for an oldworld alternative, I found Uleguerand Range to be filled with low-level EP beasts that were easy to take down.

Just started playing again after a 6 month break, and I wanna finish my staves up. One more primary element and I'll have all 6. But this one trial is absolutely horrid. 250 magic pots on BLM is really bad. Anyone know a decent tactic to make it go fast?

Abyssea Grauberg and find someone on melee job to help. Let this person lower HP to 20% and finish them with nuke. Shouldnt take longer then 3 vana days. W/o help go Grauberg too and just kill on your own ( will take 6 vana days?)

Soloing Light/Thunder/Ice staves on RDM main is gonna be so painful. I wish I had BLM or WHM leveled to make it easier but then that means I need to gear those jobs and meh...

Get someone to gather them for you, earth crusher w/ brew. Yes, lololol brewing trials but it's a very fast way to do it.

If you can manage to drag a friend along for a couple hours it's not too bad. Generally theyre spaced out enough where you won't agro if you stay close to the 2nd character. I pretty much whiddled the mob down with NIN then finished it off with BLM nuke. Obviously knowing that nukes would only do have dmg, so T5 at 22%, t4 at 17%, T3 at 8%ish. That whole earth staff path sucks quite a bit.

Pretty much what everyone else has said before me, a melee friend helps speed it up.

But if you're stuck soloing like I did, you could always do Sleep > Aspir II > Aspir > Blizzard V > Fire V > Blizzard IV > Stone III/IV/V. Hm, I think that's the order I went in. Haha, I never thought about brewing though!

If you choose to do multiple at once with aja/aga, be careful because they won't always line up to Sleepga in between. As for aggro it's not too bad; stand on the hill between Teek's ??? and the pots and you should be okay.
