    I'm slightly confused. Before this update you could either get Affinity: Magic ACC +1 AND damage +3, OR Affinity: Magic ACC +3 AND damage +1.

    Did SE scrap the magic ACC path or can you get a staff with ACC +4 now? If you can, wouldn't HQ be beaten if you had both the ACC and damage magian?

    The new staffs are Magic Damage +4 and Magic Accuracy +1 or Magic Accuracy +4 and Magic Damage +1.

    Ok, so is Magic Accuracy +4 and Magic Damage +1 better than HQ on magic acc? I haven't heard anyone talk about the ACC staffs yet.

    Yeah, they're better accuracy-wise.

    Think I'll personally stick to HQ staves for now simply for the flexibility of usable at level 51, avatar perpetuation-, and some other stuff.

    It's very hard to test, but logic says yes.

    The +3 was tested and better than HQ for macc, so yeah +4 is going to be better still.

    Just remember that HQ staves are 2/2 and you can easily compare them to any form of Magian staff.

    Just to make sure I'm reading this right, would this mean that the 'Dark Affinity: Magic Damage +1/Magic Accuracy +3' staff will replace Pluto's for Sleeps?

    Should replace Pluto's period unless I'm misremembering that it doesn't give its damage bonus to Drain/Aspir.

    If it doesn't, disregard.

    Thunder damage staff is Trial 1682 (200 Beetles, thunder damage finishing blow 200+ damage) and 1683 (250 Funguars, thunder damage finishing blow 250+)

    1682 is pretty quick, goblin pets in Sauromugue [S] are EP and one-shottable, 1683 I'm not sure what's best, probably Boyahda Tree.

    Finally done with the thunder staff. As it was said above, goblin's beetles work great for the first trial. J-7 in Sauromugue [S] has 2 BST goblins within very close range. You can easily bounce back between both of them sniping the beetles with thunder 4.

    I did the funguars in Grauberg since it was close to town, sigil refresh, and there are usually NINs there doing trials you can team up with.

    Now to do the last two trials for my ice staff...

    I was gonna say load up wiki, find the trial of mag page, click on staff, then you'll see the paths you have to take for any/all of the teiwaz.

    So in general ... for someone without BLM and only RDM and SMN we are looking at just sticking with the HQ staves for now from what I am hearing? Maybe picking up the Magian Ice/Earth Macc4 staves at somepoint but inventory issues push that back a little I guess.

    Is there -5 Perp cost staves now for smn as well? Or were the stave trial upgrades only for Dmg and Accuracy?

    Fully upgraded Nirvana is perp -5 now at level 80

    So much inventory clogging, FML.

    I want to ditch my elemental staves for these new +4 M-DMG ones, but then that means losing on some of the nice mods (like hmp 10, though NQ serves just fine for that and -perp.)


    ARGH. Where's that Rainbow Staff SE? . _ .


    I swear it's BRD syndrome all over again between BLM & SMN.

    ok sorry if i didn't read ( or understand ;_; ) all well, but so these new staffs how many MATK and MACC % have? It's more then 15% atk and acc from HQ staves?

    ( btw, SE didn't told that we could trial of magians most powerfull armor set like salvages set or hq staves?? I remember they said that in a interview, at the moment 80% salvage gear is to trash >>)
