Does anyone know the difference between the new Macc+4 staffs and alkalurops? I'd prefer to keep the alka for slow/para, but I just dunno the difference mathwise in case of doing something HNMwise on the resist scale. Hope that wording made sense.
Well HQ Staves have more M.Acc than Alkalurops, and Affinity +2 on the Magian Staves is supposed to be equal to HQ Staves, so Affinity +4 would be quite a bit better than Alkalurops (minus the obvious potency difference).
Has anyone tested the magic accuracy on these weapons? Unless Magic Damage, Magic Accuracy is listed on there and is a well established stat. If tests have not been done, is it really safe to assume that Magic Accuracy from these staffs is a value higher than listed?
Awesome. 5 hours to complete the first Crook trial. lawl.
The value of the magic accuracy on these staves is exactly what is listed. It's just that "Elemental affinity: magic accuracy" is a separate stat from "magic accuracy".
There's been enough testing to determine beyond the shadow of a doubt that the accuracy granted by these staves is > +1 magic accuracy. Given that the other stat is a perfect mimicry of the hidden stats on elemental staves, the assumption that the accuracy is as well is very safe.
I'm just getting thunder and ice damage staves for blm,
Earth wind and ice acc for rdm
dark acc for blm and rdm
and maybe dark -perp cost for smn.
I may work on more after those if I get bored enough, but those are the priorities.
Wouldn't Earth Crusher count?
I'm upgrading my Cure Potency Teiwaz - that's not an issue. But I have WHM, BRD, SMN, SCH, BLM, RDM (and COR)...
Wtf am I supposed to do lol? Thunder/Ice upgrade, keep my crozier and HQs?
Thunder/Ice Damage, Wind/Earth/Ice/Dark MAcc, and all pet staves. Then you can probably sell one or two, lol~
Where the duce are the funguars in Grauberg.
Thunder is a must imo. Some others here insist on Ice but I'm not sold on it yet, -30MACC is a huge drop for me. Yes, I realize someone argued that we're gaining +15 or something from this update so it's "not so bad" but to just dismiss the bonus that we got from 75>80 doesn't sit right with me. At this point I'm wrapping up Indra's (thunder) then doing light, then possible MACC Dark/Earth.
