Re: Grauberg Funguar
North of the fort.
Thanks ^, LSmate said they were S of OP so I ran around for 15 mins down there trying to find them lol.
Can anyone confirm if we are able to create multiple final path upgrades for each element?
Say something like 2 Surya's, one 17% cure pot. path and one +4Macc path?
Or are we limited to 1 of each?
They're only AUG/EX, so you can have multiple of them, yeah.
Needless to say, you should only have one of each type in your inventory at a time.
Ah good point lol, Thx.
I think one thing to consider is that the HQ staves we currently use are not getting an update. But I am confident that these staves will be boosted further in both accuracy and potency in further magian updates up until December. So that is why I will be doing all of these new elemental staves. BY December they are bound to be a significant improvement over the current HQ.
Having just reached COR75, I don't think I'm going to be replacing my HQ staves anytime soon ; ; why couldn't SE let cor equip these, too?
Oh well, I'm currently upgrading a bunch of melee weapons, and the cure potency staff (read: haven't even started the staff yet), so I'll probably do cute potency and just thunder when I get the time. Like others said, I'm not too keen on losing the extra stuff from Aquillo's just yet, don't forget the int+5 too. And all of the other magian staffs look pointless/waste of time since I usually just nuke ice/thunder, anyway.
Advice plz: Working on trial 841 > kill 50 slimes in dark, earth, water, or ice weather.
Have to do all the staves for my blm. and this 2nd path for 4 of the staves is this. My group spent hours tracking every known spot, we've concluded that the mire is the best spot since the weather in rancor occurs one step above never... but theres only 4 slimes close enough to kill and the dark weather lasts like 5 minutes.. friend suggested pashow [S], but we found the water weather lasts even less at a time. We managed to get down to 40/50 after 5 hours, on our first staff. tried ordelles, no weather for 3 hours from mule we had there. the worst part, according to wiki, the Clot subspecies doesnt count. can anyone confirm this? shit wed be done if we could just go to mt. z and kill clots in earth weather.
anyone got any other suggestions? This is the ass trial for all these staff paths, and to get them all , gotta do this trial 4 times... UGH FML

I have to agree with this line of thought, the Elemental staves have been in the game since forever(ZM I believe) and we have yet to see any real improvement over a lv 51 weapon in 5 years+, but again we are dealing with SE so who knows.
I'm having this problem as well... I managed to snag a few slime/water kills in the Den while I was working on the slime trial for Indra's but the water weather rarely last long enough to get 2 kills(Blm, Duo 2 box rdm mule), Pash_S didn't really pan out either as the slimes are surrounded by other mobs that will aggro/link and eat you if caught unprepared solo but other then that its been a lot of standing around in the mire...Originally Posted by Gippo
Is there a better place to camp in the mire then between Azouph and Nashmau? Only 2 slime pops @ the sheep but also there are 6 bulbs/treant pops close by if your working on a Crook.
Any input would be much appreciated!
Try looking for a level sync camp. Korroloka has rain, and I think it can be fairly long lasting. Might need to wait for specific seasons to get the weather you desire.
I will have to agree with the seasons. if you catch the mire during the rainy season you can get upwards of 2 solid hours of rainy weather. for mire I believe this is the 12th in-game month.
Seasons where is the infiormation about this?
Random thought, but did anyone notice that the level 80 Laevateinn is MAB+30? It seems as if that is being upgraded in relatively larger increments than the magian staves. I wouldn't be surprised if it caught up to them by level 99.
Hmmmm. Running the numbers through the damage formulas.
The +30 MAB staff is only better then an affinity+4 if your total MAB (before staff) is less then ~20.... which is less then BLM traits
if the staff was instead +50MAB then it would beat affinity+4 for having a total MAB (before staff) of ~100.
But then again who is to say blm wont get another MAB trait before then.
