Are you saying this NM is for the quest, or something separate?
The imps are VT, and we think killing the imps will cause the gargouile to spawn which drops the key for the mission. We can kill the imps easy enough.. now to see what happens if an NM pops..
Waited for game day. Logged out for couple hours. All three times I just get the same text. Serra, did you do anything else?
I talked to all 3 imps after I screwed up.. Didn't zone though. After talking to all 3, when the day changed next, the first one I talked to gave the CS.
So.. been killing imps for a while, and so far nothing. Only 4 imps too, so respawns are killing the fun.. Anyone else this far who knows anything?
Zoning fucks it up it seems. I was finally able to get cutscene after talking to all 3 and never zoning even for day change. Thanks for help. (This shit is pretty MGS)
OH MY GOD. I got the cutscene, but when I went to Rokke he said I blew him off. I zoned on the way there because I aggro'd. I guess you can't zone at all.... another day wait.
EDIT: What the fuck - Rikke gives me the message he did when he stole my elixir... nothing like "I don't care anymore"
HAHAHAHAHA.. omg... so.... out of bordem of killing imps for like 3 hrs or something annoyingly ridiculous, decided to check around if there was a secret passage with just imps or something. Went back to the ??? in the SW and clicked it, gargouile NM pops and ate me pretty fast (hit an unbuffed Sch for 350 dmg, crit of nearly 450). But least we know where it is now. Group's gonna try it again here in a few -- waiting on one person to catch up with their CSs.
Okay you don't need to talk to all three. Just need to be IN the zone when the day change. No idea why they would make it that way.
I really don't want to fuck this up: When Rokke says "My buddy up west tell you same thing?"
Does he mean southwest or northwest... really don't want to take a risk!
A: C false
B: A true
C: A false (MAYBE he says "up west")
So... A or B?
Ok, Round 2 against the Gargouille Warden did not go well. It's clearly resistant to nukes, Blm reported doing 200-300. Even with prot 4, it was doing around 300 dmg a hit to my Sch. It had a terror move that incapacitated our Rdm, and could double attack, so thinking it's a War. Think a pt of melees and a blink tank would tear through him pretty easily, but a pt of Blm, Rdm, Smn, and Sch was worthless. We didn't last long enough to see a 2hr though, so 'll try to fill ya guys in on Round 3 if it goes any better.
Way I see it, you wanna just draw a straight line. So if it's the SE one saying to the W, then it's the SW one he's calling out.
Okay, so it wasn't Rikke. Again. LOL.
EDIT: Yeah, well now I know!
Woo, won with the help of another pt that was exping in the area! Got our Zvahl passkey. So, verdict is that melee are definitely better, and blink tanking is necessary. He has a random add-effect stun that can last around 15 secs. Also has a move that gives attack bonus, but no 2hr. He's super resistant to debuffs, our Rdm reported getting only slow to stick even with full acc gear.
Anyway, final BC is in the throne room, click the door for a CS. I'm hoping we finally get an 'npc does the work' fight, cause Bastok hasn't had one yet and is long overdue.. Bout to enter, will let ya guys know how it goes (and if we have to fight the NM again if we wipe...)
Edit: One thing we found before popping the NM the third time, all 4 imps in the central chamber have to be killed by your pt to pop it. It doesn't matter if they're all dead, all have to be killed by your pt, or nothing will happen.
pretty long bcnm
We've failed 4 times so far is why it's taken so long
Spoilering since there's an npc, and also who the enemy is..
Spoiler: show
