    Not trying to Hijack the thread or anything, but since this as a topic may be a bit limited, may just change the name to all job adjustment testing or something? In any case, a mod can split this off if they want Sam stuff separate, but I'm putting it here for now:

    Skillchain Bonus seems to be an ~8% increase to skillchain damage when used with Sekkanoki. I haven't had a chance to test if it's like 2 separate 4% bonuses or how it works if I just open, or just close for someone else. This is based on the assumption anything higher than a mirror of the closing WS is added damage, and if it resisted, the resisted SC would have been under the closing WS's damage (1079 Kaiten - 1165 Light ; 1156 Kaiten - 1248 Light).

    Sengikori, I haven't had a Black Mage to MB with, nor have I tested multi-step skillchains. Also, I'm not sure if this overwrites the passive trait, or stacks with, but I saw an increase of 35% damage from the closing WS to the skillchain (880 Kaiten - 1188 Light).

    I realize these are small sample sizes, but unless anyone sees a way that it wouldn't work as I said, the amount I care is pretty low at the moment, as the job trait changes very little about playstyle (the sheer fact Hagun is obsolete means you should be using Sekkanoki for self SCs as much as possible, with absolutely no questions asked). If the JA carries over to +35% MB damage, that's actually far better than I expected....will test later sometime perhaps if nobody beats me to it.

    Tachi: Butterfly...cluttering up my WS list, haven't been able to break 500 damage, even on lvl 30 mobs.

    Testing magic bursts. Sengikori has to be used right before the closing weaponskill. Initial tests make it seem like it's a flat 25% increase to any nuke magic bursted off the SC. This is not additive with the MB portion of the formula, but rather an additional multiplication (Dmg*1.3*1.25), meaning if you add more magic burst gear, you'll get an additional 25% to all of that as well.

    I kinda agree, but I'd rather not see 14 different threads that each one only talks about 1 new JA, 1 new train, and 1 new WS? :/

    There any info on Restraint? I know a few people here specialize in the math behind this game, all that stuff is way beyond me. I used it in EXP a few times, aside from no crits I couldn't tell much difference from WS damage.

    Eh i think it's a little silly that everyone is getting so hyped up about the shitty new WSes, I think it was kinda to be expected from SE that they add in intermediary shit WSes like the ones we had in the earlier levels before adding better ones later on. 19 levels to go, can expect at least 2 new sets, maybe?

    Weird, DRK in my Limbus LS tonight said he got 20 TP from casting... I have no idea what spell he used though (and no it wasn't absorb TP lol. Might have been Drain or Bio?)

    And so far MB Bonus is fucking massive at least on BLM. My Bliz IV went up a good 300~400 damage.

    Is he retarded and therefore swung right after the cast and didn't notice?

    Or maybe if it were Apollyon dark stuff might have s omething to do with it?

    Re-clarifying Attack Bonus V, I had +12 Attack as well at 76.

    Lame, that's not following the pattern... maybe it's just a hidden little boost until 90 (when it should be at least another 14 or more?)


    I still wish SE would just take the fucking time already and label these traits individually. I mean is that hard to have Attack Bonus I, II, III, IV etc in your job traits menu? At least this way we'd finally have precise confirmation on this shit. God I hope they don't jack us like this in XIV...

    iirc it used to be like that, but for whatever reason, they patched it so 1 trait is representative of every consecutive trait you would end up getting later on.

    Sorry to bump this, but it's possible I was wrong on Nether Void affecting Drains. I only ran a few samples and didn't notice a difference, but tried it twice in dynamis, and it's possible it does work. (Hard to tell /w the dumb dark weather crap.) I haven't realli had time to get some good testing done, but if anyone is up for it, I'd love to see the results~

    Just from eye balling about 10 casts, no darkweather/day, paired up with darkseal so i didn't get any resists I saw my drain2's go from about 460~70 to a highest of 580.

    On a magic burst with about 315 dark skill, highest nether void drain2 i did was 676. I can honestly see a use for this ability before a few zerg fights, especially Dynamis lord with an anrin obi.

    I think the most i got was about 6 tp? I didn't look at all of them since i was too stoked about getting to fulltime souleater with 2100 hp on exp mobs

    You can also burst drain II off your SC by doing Guillotine > Insurgecy = Compression.
