I'm getting 8-16% on my SC bonus trait. Maybe there are resists coming into play? Though it doesn't look that way 100%....

Plus some more that I didn't screenshot.
650/2 = 325; 351/325 = 1.08
490/2 = 245; 284/245 = 1.159
And all the other ones I worked out besides that first SS (4-5 more) came to 15.6%-15.9%.
(In before "your DEs are terrible")
how does it work with skillchain dmg trait, is the dmg bonus applied when you open SC, close SC, or always when youre invloved?
The skillchain bonus probably has two tiers, with DNC having the 2nd Tier and SAM only having the first. When I was soloing Darkness on DNC I was seeing 15-16% more than what Kleos was doing for the mirror damage.
I personally only whipped out the calculator when I closed the SC. I should've looked at some of the ones I opened just to make sure, but I was busy going on a murderous Morbol rampage before wind weather depopped.Since SC damage is based entirely on the closing WS though, having the opening WS matter would be weird to me.
Shield Defense Bonus seems kinda crappy. Haven't really tested but did some eyeballing while I was doing a Field of Valley page. Not much to say, I was kind of expecting it to make shield hits go down to 0, especially on Perytons in Valley of Sorrows but the lowest it would go was about 8 or 10 damage.
When I get the chance I'm going to try and get a better idea myself of how Shield Def Bonus works when I'm exping on my pld. Currently I suspect that the trait ups the percentage of damage blocked by your shield which is why the difference between blocks with and without the job trait didn't seem huge when I tried doing a quick test on a T mob.
repost from other thread:
Bolter's Roll test (no relic hat involved)
naked- 49.82s, 49.93s (49.875s avg)
crimson- 44.43s, 44.28s (44.355s avg, 12.45% speed increase)
XI Bolter's- 39.91s, 39.89s (39.90s avg, 25.00% speed increase)
XI Bolter's + crimson- 35.77s, 35.77s (35.77s avg, 39.43% speed increase)
Well, I'll guess I'll try to explain Libra and repost what I said about Divine Emblem.
Libra shows you the hate list of the monster, relative to it's current target. (As far as I can tell, I haven't used it where I knew specific CE/VE values.) For instance, in a party of 4: SCH RDM WAR PLD. Assuming the PLD is currently tanking, and the Warrior is DDing, the results of Libra would show up something like this:
The Colibri's Enmity towards SCH is 0%. (Entered fight with Libra)
Towards RDM is 5%.
Towards WAR is 89%.
Towards PLD is 100%.
So, the Paladin currently has hate, the Warrior is extremely close to taking hate, and the Red Mage is fairly safe. The only time I've see it where 100% was NOT the monster's target is when I was in a party with two Paladins and one used Divine Emblem.
When Divine Emblem was used, the 1st Paladin rose to 101% Enmity, and was the monster's current target, while the 2nd Paladin remained at 100%, and was obviously not the target.
tl;dr Libra tells you hate relative to the monster's current target, and Divine Emblem may raise the hate cap. Libra will only tell you your Party's Enmity, even if the monster's current target is in another party.
Just did some Castor's Roll testing with a WHM friend.

Fencer: 5% critical hit rate bonus (given 9% critical hit rate floor), 40 TP bonus for weapon skills based on Spirits Within damage return.
What's the most accurate test that can be done for Caster's Roll (without special status like weakened, and with a PC spell target)?
sub sam for hasso, cast a spell with long re/cast?
Has to be WAR (or BST). Its Lv.45, won't get to sub that until 90 cap.
Other jobs might've gotten cool stuff that helps them do damage, or take less damage, or look cooler, or just not suck as much, but you know what?

I can steal food.
Also, I'm fairly sure Despoil has a different list for potential items to steal than steal does.
Tested Night Terror in Terrigan on bunnies
~900 dmg normally
~1300 dmg when mob was slept
In which case, BST might have a lower level of mastery than WAR (controlling for level)... not too bad to check on BST (different TP bonus would imply different tier of Fencer) knowing the following damage function for Spirits Within given current HP (HP) and current TP (TP) without Fencer active. (TP should be the actual TP to the tenths place and not rounded.)
floor(HP*(floor(16/100*(TP-100))+32)/256)) for 100 <= TP < 200
floor(HP*(floor(72/100*(TP-200))+48)/256)) for 200 <= TP <= 300
Tested some crit attack bonus trait on my THF. 10 SA each against wild rabbit in ronfaure, 1 with ermine tail at lv75, 1 with x's knife at lv75, 1 with ermine tail at lv78, 1 with x's knife at lv78.
Lv75 DEX: 103
Ermine Tail average: 449.3
X's Knife average: 486.6
Lv78 DEX: 105 (couldn't find an immediate gear with 2 DEX)
Ermine Tail average: 461.2
X's Knife average: 513.4
X's knife is 10% bonus as expected. Trait appears to be roughly 5% bonus. They seem to stack together giving roughly 15% bonus.
