    FFXI Crash with GTX295

Just got a brand new (for free yo.) GTX295, using 257.21 drivers and FFXI crashes randomly, sometimes 30 seconds in, sometimes after 4 hours. But it's not FFXI actually crashing, it's the drivers (Windows 7 says so.)

Using stock settings in driver config, only thing I changed is SLI (turned it off because FFXI runs like shit with it on)

    Using Windower

    Win7 x64 Ultimate
    GTX295 with 257.21 drivers
    SLI OFF

Needless to say drivers never crash when playing DX9/DX10 games like BFBC2/Source/MoH

Well maybe theres a reason you just got it for free. JK, but you can probably try older driver versions to find one that works, or disable a few graphical effects like shadows or triple buffering etc. to find out what works.

Been using GTX260 ever since then, but with FFXIV beta I just can't afford to leave the GTX295 taking dust, so I reinstalled it and installed the newest beta drivers 258.96 and I shat bricks.

29 fps in WG, first time in years >.> Gonna leave it running a few hours to check if it still crashes but I'm going to fap furiously first.
