I'm leaving siel too. The lack of asmo on this server combined with another elyos dominated server is going to just explode my brain. Personally, being a PVP fanatic and an elyos, I'll be looking for an asmo dominated server to thrive in.

Our access to DC isn't easier than yours, as far as I'm aware. We still have to get through an area of elites to get to the corridor to DC. Also, when I've done DC (not many times), I've never even used that corridor, we've used another rift instead. I don't know which way most other elyos go to get there, but from my rifting experience and seeing the way you guys would have to run it doesn't seem any harder than what we have to do.
Not to mention no elyos actually make groups for DC. I've seen like two groups inviting for it ever.
I pretty much leveled in DC from 43-50, which is weird cause i never see shouts for it either. This was around November though, so maybe that's why. There would always be a ton of people outside the entrance and we'd always run into Elyos on our way there.
Let's do some quick number crunching on these bosses...
The only gamebreaking item off Zapiel is his spear, any other item he has, both sides will have an item equivelent or marginally different. Zapiel spawns around every 3 days, drops a spear maybe 10% of the time but probably less, that means 1 spear per month or less. Game has been out for 9 months now, so that's going to be around 9 spears per server that have been acquired. At least half of those people probably quit Aion already as well, so their spear is doing nothing for our faction.
... Can you see where this is going?
Yeah, we already milked zapiel for everything he had and our entire faction is now prospering with our 9 spears.the elyos already raped those bosses for all their worth so what you say fails.
More people use some variety of Miragent's weapons by at least 20 fold than any of Zapiel's weapons.
It's just a case of the rich getting richer as far as I'm concerned. It's great for the 2-3 legions and the select people in them and it sucks for everyone else on both factions. The same people who dominate the world bosses are the people in full Miragents selling bloods in bulk and aggressively farming the few accessible pops. They've helped drive the market up to over 200k. Bloods have gotten even worse after 1.9
Meanwhile, the strongest Asmo legions on the server aren't exactly pushovers and people like me have no hope of putting up a fight against full Fenris. It's not like they're giving up and letting people be. They're abusing the majority of players who can't be part of the monopoly and rightfully so. Up until recently the upper forts in the abyss were split pretty evenly and as far as I can tell it's only changed because the Asmo legions have been suffering internal strife.
I find it hard to sympathize with a faction that still ganks me like I'm a newbie in Eltnen. I'll admit it would suck ass to go up against the two biggest Elyos legions on my server, but as far as I'm concerned, I pretty much have to compete with them too on a faction that doesn't reward the individual as much as the group.
TELEMACHUS WITH CASTOR. OHHHH YEAH
finally might see some fucking good abyss stuff.
What would you even do with Zap spear? It wont help your pve.
i love how people think that zap's spear is the only extendable spear. Hint: its not. The best part, the easier extendable spear to get is in fact easier for asmos to get due to accessibility.
Commander Bakarma's Spear
The quests to get into DC is a bitch and a half. It starts with this quest and you can see the rest of the quest line.

Other then that, not sure what this merger is going to do to the servers. I'm pretty sure people from both sides are going to end up server hopping to better populated servers.
because hardly anyone did dc, before 1.9, and hardly anyone does it post 1.9. I've seen lots of people walking around my server post 1.9 with extendables from theo labs lately. It seems to me just from looking at quick stats though that bakarma's spear combined with 50 elite pvp weapon is mega nasty, inb4 900k ap is too hard QQ
i will admit that for mages, jeshuchi's and pvp combine is just downright ridiculous. that's a little unfair.
I wasn't really gonna get into this cause I personally believe that world bosses have exactly 2 things to do with faction balance: jack and shit.
However, if you just implied that Commander bakarmas spear is easier to get in ANY way, shape or form, you are fucking insane.
Bakarma's loot drops are so fucking harsh. It's been at least 30 runs for me and only 5 Cloth tonics, 2 chain, 1 plate, rest shit blues. Another templar on my server got gold 1 handed sword on his 3rd run, why oh why lol.
You'd be right on the first part, people just like to use world bosses as an excuse for why they're terrible. I'm still wondering what the asmo excuse will be after 2.0, where world bosses get nerfed and current weapons get outclassed.
As to the second: why? Is DC an instance that is only open ~every 3 days, that you have to fight other legions to get access to? I could have sworn it was a pretty low lockout...
This whole discussion is kinda silly. Have any of the people arguing leveled characters of both factions? That would provide a direct comparison. I've only got an elyos to the high 30s, but so far the only two differences are hannet's quest giving a free blue (which I desynthed because my balic staff is subbed with klacha's, which is better by far) and the FT entry quest is easier by quite a bit. Farm a quest-item-drop-rate key or do the Three Keys campaign? Pfft. Otherwise, the two seem pretty comparable up to this point. That's direct experience. This seems like a lot of pro-faction breastbeating, frankly.
ps. bakarma is easymode to farm and get drops from post 1.9. our legion has 2 bakarma spears, had a greatsword before it got de'd, multiple bodies, and countless amounts of those gay rings, which i got yet another of last night. (these drops are only post 1.9).
what i tend to see is that because of the lack of world bosses that provide meh middleground gear (yet people think is gamebreaking aside from zap's spear, pve gear is srs bzns) and maybe a nice enchantment stone every week or 2, asmos seem to work on fenril's and ap gear much sooner and faster than elyos do.
Oh hell, did they fix him post 1.9? Havent done it since. Anyways before 1.9, getting anything off him was the definition of difficult.
it's a good thing that alukina's as a sub weapon is only 10 less Mboost and 12 less MP, but it's ok according to asmos everything from alukina sucks just cause it's lv44 (let's not forget that alukina's jewel is the only Aspd jewel in the game, meaning mostly only asmos can get Aspd and Cspd on a jewel) AND alukina's not getting her loot nerfed in 2.0 like jeshuchi is.
to add insult to injury the whole server merging is gonna reduce the amount of items produced (less servers = less pops) and more legions per server fighting over those bosses.
pretty sure korean asmos don't complain about jesh/zap this much, and they had to deal with the "imbalance" for coming on 2 years? we haven't even been 1 year and NA asmos cry foul? BITCH PLEASE
2.0 added no new Aspd mage weapons, and in addition to that all the new cloth gloves have cast speed, not Aspd. So Aspd stacking for mages will die out anyways.
The only "game breaking" weapon is the spear, and compared to Bakarma's it's not enough to cry anything about. I know of 4 spears on vaizel that have quit, leaving only 3? left on the server. Two of which belong to PVE carebears. the one on an accually PVPer barely plays cause "he's bored".
Besides, all of the bosses in 2.0 are fair game anyway that are located in ground abyss. Personally, i'm scared of Sematariux & Padmarashka.
Sema located on Elyos side, Padma on Asmo side of Ground Abyss. Both monsters are look like the dragons, but in the precise definition: both mob are "Dramata". Dramatas is a special mutation between the Balaurs and Dragons. The Balaurs sometimes try to transform into Dragon, but this doesn't succeed in all case. If the Dragon transformation process failed the result is the Dramata. The main tasks of the Dramatas: hatching the Dalaur eggs. That is the reason why we need to kill them. So much for Lore of Dramatas.
Sema and Padma are very strong outdoor bosses. (outdoor means in this case: a locked cave, you need to find the key to enter ("key" source: farm the mobs near the entrance, the key disappear after you enter the cave)
lvl57 legendary 5-doted bosses with 4-5 adds. Korean feedbacks from the Dramatas: very strong world bosses, need ~100 ppl to kill them, the best tries on the top active servers are on 70-75%.
