Guess what, that demo is wrong, Hans Asperger was Austrian, a variant of lower German when it comes to pronunciation.

Pronunciation:Aspergherz, Asperjerz, Asburgers or A Burger?

Asperger's Syndrome is named after Austrian psychiatrist, Hans Asperger, who pioneered research into high-functioning individuals with autistic traits. In correct usage it's Ass-pairgher with a hard G.

Incidentally, the only thing which is being proved here is that I have an overzealous drive to point out tiny little details which most people would rightfully claim are unimportant.

GEE I WONDER IF THAT MIGHT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH SOMETHING ELSE, HERP, GUESS NOT?

so you're saying that because you have aspergers you pretend wikipedia articles are your own words?

No, you are the one saying that. I never quoted a wiki article without noting the source, though I do get accused of this by various sufferers of umaditis due to my habit of reciting data from memory.

If you exhibited higher levels of reading comprehension, you'd see that I was talking about my urge to correct tiny little factual mistakes which most people are all but unable to care about.

Naturally the converse holds as well, where people try to point out social mistakes I am making, yet I am unable to care about them because I operate outside of that realm.

tl;dr, try to read better, Finesse.

ok so you fake autism because you think it lends credence to you being an off-the-grid scientist. the whole wikipedia thing is just a byproduct of that since you constantly need to cover your ass. got it

You remind me of my brother, Max. Always thinking you are the world's greatest undiscovered scientist.

When you have some shit published in a journal and you're not being laughed at for your fucking stupidity, please make sure you post the link here.

I'm sorry, did I miss where I posted about what a great scientist I am, or needing to cover my ass over hobby fields being discussed with college students, or what the fuck ever else has been mentioned in this derail?

    *checks*

Nope, that's just you pulling shit out of your ass to derail something from the point at hand: that you're saying asperger incorrectly.

    Find me an Austrian, stat!

Say it like a mad scientist from an Indiana Jones movie, "Now Mr. Jones, vee vill induce Ass-pair-ghers, muahahahaha!", and you might get it right.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

    1. dialect =/= correct pronunciation. For American dialect, the Webster entry is correct.

    2. arguing on the internet about little details isn't a sign of autism, it's a sign of being on the internet.

    3. Autism deals with social inabilities, the fact you post regularly on an internet forum and show no problems having a conversation/argument on it shows you don't have the types of social inabilities with autism.

OMG LOOK AT ME, I HAVE AUTISM! I HAVE TROUBLE SEEING OTHER PEOPLE'S POINTS BECAUSE I SEE ONLY WHAT MY MIND FOCUSES ON AND NOTHING ELSE!

Wait... no. You're just a fucking asshole. That's right. There's no cure for that, I'm afraid.

The term is named after the person who identified it, Webster is not correct here, what's next, you're going to tell me you shouldn't pronounce Riemann (ree-mahn) because it is weird to do that for Americans? Fuck that, you were wrong, it's ok, it happens.

    2. arguing on the internet about little details isn't a sign of autism, it's a sign of being on the internet.
I'm not arguing, I'm pointing out a mistake in what is actually a helpful mood. I assume that anyone who made a mistake like this would like to know about it, as I tend to assume everyone thinks like I do, unless reminded otherwise. Horrible theory of mind, etc.

Oh really, you don't see ANY signs of me having problems carrying a regular conversation/argument?

You are apparently an expert on the subject, yet you don't recognize a common thread in discussions I'm involved in?

Perhaps you don't know the subject as well as you think?

Nor did you consider that the type of social difficulties which are most prevalent for autistic people involve non-verbal communication, body language, context, non-literal meanings, whatnot.

Hell, there's an idea, might it just be that you find a lot of auties online because there is no need to deal with those forms of communication, making this an ideal outlet for what little urge to communicate with other humans that we do have?

Actually, I was trying to clarify mistaken assumptions on your parts, I would personally be horrified if I found out I'd been arguing like a dumb dick based on the erroneous assumption that someone else thought exactly the same way I do.

In this specific example, I was just pointing out a common mistake, one that I myself did not learn about until talking to someone of Austrian descent, which had nothing to do with the rest of the stupid shit flung around by others.
