I like the game in motion more than I like it standing still. I love my male Mathosian's 2-hander sword attacks, and he looks boss hurtling over water, rocks or anything else underneath him as he charges into battle. The execute animation is hilarious (upward slash + boot kick to remove sword). The sweeping attack looks great. The boot kick has weight to it.

There's enough weight and savagery to his attacks where I feel like he's in an actual fight, and not some choreographed ice-capades summer blockbuster like in Aion, with ridiculous backflips and twirls. He also doesn't look like a skitzso reject from the set of a Braveheart movie like in AoC, which him just mindlessly thrashing about. Perhaps other races and weapon sets look poor, but I haven't gotten tired of or started to dislike my set of animations at all. If anything, the fun I've had diving into the heart of PVP and watching him cut multiple people down has all but secured a preorder from me.

Damn. Tera's beautiful, but Rift has its own beauty at maxed settings. Both use color very well. Super stoked.
