Oh another question, I know it was only beta so it doesn't mean much, but how's the community? I haven't been able to find a nice MMO community since FFXI, it's either been full of hackers/bots being all proud of their gear and putting it in other people's face or 12 year olds fucking up the easiest instances and spamming chat. Is Rift

Won't really know until the free month is up. Since anyone that wanted could get into open beta, it was pretty much what you'd expect. There's plenty of nice guilds and plenty of assholes, same as XI. There does seem to be an older age bracket interested in this game but age doesn't always mean maturity.

I was able to get on initially at about 1:06 EST, but crashed about 10 minutes ago to log back in to a 2 hour wait. :/

Not sure if this is a good sign for the game with that kind of population flood, or if the servers might not be as large as some would like.

Been sitting in queue for 20 minutes now. Started at 650 with 20 min. Now at 380 with 3 hours. Good for Trion though for having a lot of interest in this game.

I had trouble with my key and I had to wake up at 6 am this morning to call Trion support to get it all sorted out. Started the download at 7:30 am, still two hours to go right now at 11:30

I don't think people realize that you can do the kill quests in a raid. I had a guy curse me out for outpulling him and just ended up inviting him and everyone else. Everyone was just sitting there solo trying to claim shit.
