50...
Better be some endgame content or they are going to lose tons of subs fast .-.

They already have MULTIPLE end-game vendors with some different currencies, so the rewards for end-game content is already in, at the least. And they've been pretty confident about having end-game content in.
Me and my friends are on the Alsbeth server, all mid-teens atm, probably get to mid-twenties/maybe 30 today.
Could have easily got 20 yesterday...if the tornado didn't knock out the damn internet. First time in 2 years at my new place the net has gone out, EVER...and it happens to be on launch day...fml
Damn does the level curve ramp up post 30 or is it really only going to take a few days to hit cap?
Honestly, the only people that hit 30 are the no-lifers and the jackasses that refuse to help with zone-wide invasions.
I played for about 5 hours yesterday and only managed to hit 15 and some change.
so anyone else in wolfsbane server?
Me, my brother, and a couple of friends are making a guild there XD
Eh fast lvling doesn't bother me as long as there is some end game content. I've just never seen a lvling curve that low before. At that rate someone will hit cap tomorrow or Saturday.
I'm like halfway into 17 now. Could be a bit further, but I went to bed a little early last night... plus I lost like 3 hours crashing/queueing. Maybe another 6-8 hours of play and I'll be back to where I was in last beta. Not too worried about going too fast as I think once I hit Gloamwood I'm gonna farm rifts to buy myself the purple plate set and maybe a weapon. Would think such things would last me decently into the 30s, but who knows.
People willl hit 50 easily before the game even reaches retail launch.
They've said several times they don't care about how long it takes to level and they just want it to be enjoyable and they acknowledge that a majority of everyone playing MMOs focuses on endgame. So I can see why its so easy to level.
I can see people attaining 50 before official release but there's more than likely a cease order on guilds from alpha clearing the raids before march 1st.
No. Devs stated multiple times that they don't care how quickly you get to 50, because there's plenty to do at end-game already.
And I didn't know that this game would seriously be this popular. There's like 30+ servers and in the middle of a friday afternoon, there's 10 servers full, at least 15 high, and the rest medium. I didn't expect this many people to pre-order. I hope they give us some official figures soon.
Certainly a twist to the usual approach of making players grind forever so they can add end game content later. If the end game is truly fleshed out they might be on to something. Still going to wait until after I've gone through DAO2 before I check Rift out but the games stock has definitely gone up for me.
I'm pretty sure TRION understands that they can't simply force people to grind grind grind in this day and age, or at least, that there are better ways to do it and better places to throw it in. For instance, most hardcore guilds are grinding - the shit out of instances for loot and xp - and some casuals are even grinding - the shit out of rifts for mass xp and planarite. Its all in how you set it up, but both can be entirely enjoyable.
Patching atm!
@Alderaan, I just submitted an application to VI, planning on rolling a bard. If you guys are taking people in still, i'd love a home in RIFT.
Are most ppl going pve or pvp?
also sucks Aion is still taking up a subforum.. should really be given to a new mmo or just changed to a general mmo discussion sub forum
Trion seemed pretty confident in the end-game content they have already, and that's why they don't care about the fast leveling. As far as PVE goes, they have the 8 expert dungeons, plus a bunch of 10-man rifts and some 20-man raids. I'm not sure how many rifts and raids there are, though, but a dev did make a video to showcase the 10-man rifts and 20-man raids:

And the small guild I was planning to join decided to merge into a bigger guild just before launch, and I didn't realize exactly how "bigger" this guild was going to be... Last night it was well over 200 members, and still going up. I hate it, I hope we go back to our small guild, if not I'll probably just leave and find another one.
So a lot of people on Keenblade then? hrmm, 1hr wait time. Eh, I got a movie I can watching while waiting![]()
Yep 1hr queue on Keenblade.
I will say this though... normally I play either a tank or healer. Never really played a mage or any pure DPS ( Other than blm in FFXI and magic-user in TT D&D ) Loving the mage class in this game :D
