Every server is at high or max population. While I love the fact that it means the game is popular (eat a dick XIV), I can't say I'm a fan of being 700th in line.

Waiting in line sucks ass...on Briarcliff at least, there are a TON or people just afk'ing in the main town because they are scared to log out. Others just wait on the character selection screen. If they purged these people, lines would drop significantly.

Although, I think this will be sorted in a couple weeks, sucks to be stuck in line. I've been on for almost the entire launch, but many of my guild mates haven't been able to get on at all.

Hey at the rate they doing updates in 14 there should be some content in about 4 months which is probably when you get bored with this game, oh wait tera gonna be close to coming out...

I don't think it'll take even a solid week. With the money they have confirmed in their pockets, they'll be more than willing to jack up the server size, or, at the very least, increase the "width" of the ques, allowing for more people to log in. The problem isn't so much server capacity as it is the freakin' tight hole they're funneling people through.

was reading the Rift forums while i waited in line earlier, apparently EU servers got hit tonight with an update that made some adjustments to AFK tracking, and US servers will be getting it tomorrow. So people shouldn't be running into walls anymore to afk, which should help a ton.

God damn I'm already getting tired of leveling in Rift. I probably shouldn't have leveled an alt in WoW before playing this. Need some people to just farm the fuck outta dungeons.. Keep getting groups that break up after a single run. :<

If you're playing on a server and complaining about queue's...go to another one. Based on the server status page only like 20% of the servers have queue's, the rest don't. Do yourself a favor and reroll.

I'm doing Nightblade and Riftstalker for my Bard. Nightblade is pretty key, because you can spend points to increase the damage on skills that give combo points and boost non-physical damage. Those both help out a lot to make your Cadence's heal a bit stronger.

I've heard, albeit via rumor, that other games are paranoid as fuck about Rift. Warhammer removed the "Unsubscribe" button from their website. Lord of the Rings Online message boards have systematically deleted any post with the word "rift" in it. Even WoW is feeling the pain and has supposedly lost 400k+ subscriptions. This is what happens when a game comes out that isn't filled with fucked up bugs and bullshit content just so the creators can start making money to appease investors, publishers, and distributors due to impatience from the company taking too long to develop it. Hell, even the Yogscast guys were digging the shit out of this game back in beta and had it preordered.

I guess it's no surprise that every server hovers at or exceeds capacity. The game is a blast and has enough different ways to level that it doesn't get old. That completely ignores the myriad combinations of classes that can be used to create unique characters, and then to boot you can swap to a different spec on the fly! So yeah, all servers jam packed and this is just the head start. When it goes 100% live shit's going to get real.

somehow i doubt its gonna be any different come live. Anybody who wants to play the game has already pre-ordered it and is playing it right now. I'm not even sure why they are bothering to differentiate between head start and release, to anybody serious about playing the game its pretty much the same thing.
