New photo app has much better facebook integration, I'm actually pretty impressed with it, I like it. I don't even use facebook that much.

I'm digging the rate system on PSN. Can give anything you've purchased a grade out of 5 stars.

Also seems with this update, that hovering over your friends in the list for a couple seconds will show their trophy level. PSN+ as well if they're subscribed, so I get the feeling they'll be having exclusive features in time if they *really* needed to show that off.

Yeah, already rated most of the stuff I bought.
Haven't used the video editor/uploader yet because I don't have any videos on my PS3. As far as I know they have to be transferred to the PS3 after the firmware update has been applied and can't be copyrighted. Lets you upload to youtube/facebook directly from XMB. Seems handy.

Motion controller calibration under Accessories now too. Seems a bit early to be adding that one though unless they don't plan to release a new FW for quite awhile.

Not anything else worth mentioning that I've found. As far as gaming itself goes there is nothing new to report.

Doubt it, people have been asking for more info on the friend list/redesign on that playstation share thing. It was probably the best they could do lol. I don't mind it.

Don't know if I'll buy PSN+, at least not yet. Anyone know how long the extra 3 months promotion if you buy for the full year is going to last?

With the new photo sharing options, I hope more games enable the XMB screenshot feature. It'd be even better if they'd develop a way to take screenshots without bringing the XMB up.

It would be nice if screenshots were done on the firmware's end rather than requiring the game to explicitly support either the XMB method, or their own.

All it would take is something as simple as a context-sensitive PS button. Tap it for screencap, hold for a second for ingame XMB, hold for 3 for the old menu.

Yeah, the means are available. You could even use a keyboard or second controller if they're reluctant to add triple functions for the PS button. The D-pad or analog stick button presses would be available options for many games.

I'm not sure what is involved in incorporating the feature for game developers. I don't see how it could be that difficult though.

don't think it works like that, you have to be subscribed to get the months deals, don't think it is retroactive

Not added yet, supposed to be one of the features they'll add-on down the line. I'm still holding out to see if it'll be free or part of PSN+.

I checked it out myself when it first popped up and can confirm this isn't a shop, the text has been removed since, but this shows that it is definitely ready in some form or another. Personally I think they're undecided on whether to add it to PSN+ to encourage subscribers, or to release it for free as it is one of the most asked for features. One thing that's strange though is that it is in English while the rest is in dutch, it was like that when I visited the site too.

Oh and they're gonna be coming out with PSN+ cards, like XBL Gold cards, so hopefully we'll see some nice deals similar to XBL Gold cards, which you can sometimes find for around $30.

EDIT: The danish page had it too, and that site had an additional section mentioning the 4 players.
