On the PS3, you can password protect anything that requires access to your billing information, as well as being able to delete the info in your account settings. Granted I don't know if that removes the billing info from their end though, but I wouldn't put it up to Sony to do anything illegal with it or there would be a large vocal shitstorm about it on the net.
I did look into it, and really to be honest, I need to come around on the times. I just go through systems like hotcakes. Shits always breaking down on me, which ends up in me selling them.
Can someone explain to me a legit reason why the video editor basicallys says eff u to all videos stored on the hard drive prior to the firmware update?
I can understand copyrighted vids, but for the non-stuff, I basically had to copy them to my USB stick and then back (all on the PS3 itself) before it'd accept it, which is kind of stupid and a waste of time. Was wanting to make a 'best of' compilation of my Just Cause 2 crashes.
(got to love games with built-in video recorders)
I don't see why most multi-platform games don't given the PS3 usually has 3-4 SPUs free that could do the job easily on-the-fly since they code the game for 2-3 cores due to the 360. They could pull the equality shit, but then I'd just say if they wanted to be equal they'd have the PS3 version just as well as the 360 copy, which isn't the case 80% of the time.
Reading the article on IGN today almost made me puke. I was thinking about subscribing but just reading that horrible article which in a nutshell is IGN putting sony's cock in their mouth. Eventually I'll get this when voice chat is available and if there's a game that's discounted that I want.... but for now I'll pass.
Good idea, I mean, why would you want something because some gaming site thinks it's a good idea.
On topic, I'm probably not going to buy ps+ although it does sound like a pretty good deal. I'm about to buy XBL Gold so I really don't want to pay for 2 console online services at this time. Blame my friends who decided that this year they wanted to do our NCAA Football league on the 360.
Apart from this, I don't think I'm getting anywhere near $50 of value in the first month of PSN+
Expansion pack to a 3 year old game? GTFO
20 year old arcade games from Midway? GTFO
I think I'd like it better if they weren't hyping the 'FIFTY DOLLARS!' so hard. You have to spend more than $50 just to maximize the 'discounts' they're offering on shovelware/titles nobody bought.
Think about it this way Correction... $50 for a year.
You think Wipeout HD is worth it, that's a $20 value right there and you still have 11 months worth of content to go.
I really don't see how that doesn't look worthwhile.
Well... they said you'll receive more than $50 worth of content.
That's true.
It isn't $50 worth of content you want though. Welcome to advertising.
Wait....I'm almost positive I'm being tolled to the max here.
so there was an update that implemented this today.
gotcha.
why the fuck did they remove the video utility that let me watch movies from a USB stick.
FUCK.
