and even if you WOULD compare the 2, one is not shit in comparison to both the other or the entire library of games for their respective systems which is what you're trying to make it out to be
face it, you're fucking wrong

How am I wrong? Am I wrong because you said I am? What exactly makes me wrong?
Does JSR not control worse than THPS? Do they not share many gameplay/control elements that THPS does better?
Are the differences between the games not exactly what I have said they are?
If any of this is wrong don't just say it is wrong, say how it is wrong.
I challenge you to explain yourself logically.
every single site that has anything to do with gaming supports the fact that JSRF is indeed not a shitty game, and you still sit here saying it is
do you really need to fuck up more than that to be wrong?
Oh, you can't. Okay.
what is there left to explain that you can't comprehend?
your entire premise is that "this game sucks because i fucking said it does" and even confronted with valid proof that you are in a select crowd of people who did not rate this game at a 9+/10 you still sit here refusing to agree that maybe it's not a shitty game
Nope.
That's more similar to what you are doing.
You're saying this game doesn't suck because 'we' say it doesn't. Never once talking about why it doesn't suck.
I've talked about why it does. If the game is truly so good you should very easily be able to refute my claims that it isn't good without just saying 'you're wrong'.
The question is... why can't you?
The game was pretty amazing graphically, although you think graphics are worthless lol. The music was good, though not my exact taste, but closer to it than the punk shit on THPS... But both of those points you already know. The game was actually fun if you had beaten it and wanted to pick it up again, whereas THPS wasn't even all that fun to play once through. I'd rather play Grind Session right now than the newest, bestest THPS out there.
JSRF was more fun, straight up. It wasn't obsessed with trying to be realistic with graphics that are so far from realistic (technology was obviously not there yet) that it shouldn't even be attempted. Yeah, the story wasn't all that amazing, but there was actually a story. There was actually something more than, select your course, skate around, complete these couple of tasks to progress to the next ones. When I played JSRF, I wasn't even the least bit concerned with actively trying to perform tricks and rack up points. Yeah, you could. But I played the game the way it was meant to be played - as a uniquely blended, original hybrid platformer.
You can't find another game like Jet Set Radio Future, I can find plenty like THPS. That's why it's memorable, that's why it was and still is fun, that's why nobody plays Madden 95 anymore, but will pickup FFV and play the shit out of it. Tony Hawk suffers from the same thing as any EA sports game - Once a new one comes out, fuck the old one. If JSR gets revamped right now today and a new iteration hits the market tomorrow, I'll play it. I'll play the old one too. The visuals, audio, uniqueness and originality of the game were what made it fun. So it's not a skating sim caliber of skating game.
Guess what? It was never meant to be.
and now I want to play grind session, fucking loved that game
So... I say the game has great visuals, sounds, replayability and all you hear is "it's more fun."
OPINIONS indeed.
Nice deflection.
Why is it more fun?
i give up, you are clearly incapable of reading and understanding what is being said
you lost this argument so long ago lol
one last time, just to see if it manages to get through that thick ass skull of yours bro: it was a completely original and new concept, it didn't involve the constant precision of skating around and *needing* to get a high score, the gameplay (while not the BEST) was still pretty much the best of any game on xbax so far, the graphics were absolutely amazing (which actually does contribute to both the level of fun and playability), the soundtrack was one which actually didn't have to be turned off, and the entire premise of the game's story was a rebellious atmosphere of painting a town and escaping the police.
What was fun/new/exciting/original about tony hawk? you skated. the end.
What was fun about it? You skated, that's what was fun about it! Why do you think so many people liked THPS? That's exactly what was fun about it.
I can hardly believe that I am living in an age where people think an idea is suddenly superior simply because it is new one. (this is also part of the reason say it is graphically good, cel-shading was new... that's pretty much it)
I guarantee you that is the only reason FFXIII scored as high as it did.
A game doesn't need to be innovative to be good. Just well-made.
Also, there's a pretty good reason there's not more JSR-styled games... and there's plenty of THPS styled games.
I'll let you figure out why on your own.
Love how you bitch so much that I don't say why the game is fun, whenever I have tried to convey the reasons quite a few times and every time they've been completely ignored and dismissed, lol.
ITT: Domon's opinion > World
Clearly there are not more JSR games because they only scored a 90%+ on every review known to man. Clearly.
But you didn't say why it is fun.
You said it is original even though none of the mechanics in the game... were. The graphical style surely was fairly original though!
Or do you mean to say that's the sole reason that it is fun?
