the new battle system really better?

hey guys
dont was in alpha but i watched the videos several times

do u rly think that the new battle system ist really better?
i liked the idee of the aktion gauge to fill up till the next attack

i hope the battles werent so fast like in wow or so
where u hit an enemy 3-4 times and he´s dead

if u have longer to wait to next attack ok, but when u can spam "autoattack" the enemýs dead instantly when u solo and only fight "ep" mobs

or are the char in beta video is so much overpowered ?

Beta characters were highly leveled to allow for new people to understand controls. Also there is no auto-attack in FFXIV. And just to clarify I prefer this style compared to Alpha, looks more engaging.

The E3 demo characters were level 40 characters doing level 30 leves. They were 10-15 levels above the level you would normally be fighting those mobs.
