This isn't really appropriate for the other thread but honestly, the reason I generally only pull out review scores when I'm trolling is that I don't think they mean anything.

What do we notice here?
FFXII has the higher critic review score, period.

FFXIII on the PS3 has a higher user score than either, and its higher than the review scores for the game on either console!

FFXIII on 360 has a VERY low user score and the pro review score is 1 lower.

Why does this matter, you ask?

According to reviewers FFXII is CLEARLY the superior game, however, fans of the series don't seem to think so. Neither can clearly explain why.

Also, look at the disparity among the review scores for FFXIII. Some say it is perfect and some say it is as bad as a 40. Who do you trust and why?

Professional reviewers would have you believe it is a worse game than any of the FF titles I've mentioned, however, the users apparently believe it is better than any of them.
Note that even though the average for FFXIII is higher, no reviewer scored Tales of Vesperia as low as a 40.

this is why I wasn't just going to smash your shitty game with a single site's scores, and instead went to pretty much every site i know that rates game and compiled a list to show you that just because you don't like something doesn't mean that it's a piece of shit for the other 6 billion people

No arbitrarily defined rating system/review will ever consistently be an accurate reflection of how YOU the user will feel about a game. Unless you are a sheep.
