I'll admit, I was all "Holy Shit!" when he had the reasonably priced car up on two wheels. And yeah the new Veyron gave my boner a boner.

Yeah that was a good ending. I didn't know much let alone follow F1 back then (too young/not popular in the states) but from that little segment they did you could clearly see that Senna did what he was born to do.
Anyone know what Senna film Clarkson was referring to at the end of the show?
Theres something about the GT-R that makes it ridiculously desirable, I'm the same.
That Senna feature, and seeing Lewis take the MP4-4 for a spin was sensational, best serious TG segment ever... except the 1200hp claim which is a bit of a lie, but no matter!
I'm liking this series more than the last so far.
Incredible episode. The Veyron was amazing, funny guests, and the incredible feature on Ayrton. He really was another kind of driver, and they captured that fantastically well.
You sure you're remembering that right? He usually refers to her with reverence just like he does with Angelina Jolie.
well, they are shitting on pretty much everyone driving a prius
Series overI'm sad they had no big Clarksons car vs James/Hampster boat/train/plane in this series, and no special as of yet. Still, for what was thought to be a mediocre season before it aired I thought this was one of the best by far, great films, great stars, and some of the best cars they've had to date on the series. I do hope they come back for another, or at least a final show ending special.
Well it is on it's 15th season (although shorter seasons overall I guess), so I imagine at some point soonish one of them might want to quit for family reasons or something like that. I assume they'd announce a finale and have a final season though, since it has been around for 8 years.
I thought the season was good though. No special was sad, but it seems that they have one about every other season from what I've seen.
The original Top Gear ran for 24 years, this one is one of the most popular shows the BBC has, and they nearly killed Hammond and that hasn't stopped him.
Hell, May and Hammond even do other series on top of what they do for Top Gear.
Show is going nowhere.
And the special every few seasons is because they shoot 2 seasons a year, and generally do 1 special a year. We should see the next batch of episodes start up in November.
wait, was it the end of the season or the end of the series? D:
I noticed on wikipedia there was supposed to be one more episode but it got removed
You know how between British English and American English
Chips = french fries
Crisps = potato chips
well
series = season
So, "and that's the end of the series" means something COMPLETELY different in Britain than it does in the US.
Brilliant ending to a brilliant series. See you again in the fall Top Gear!
I knew the 458 was going to be great but I didn't expect it to be that great. New favorite Ferrari. D:
I guess the SLS AMG will be in season 16. :/
I know he joked about it in the last episode, but that does seem to be why they have been getting such big celebrities lately. Friday Night with Jonathan Ross was usually where US celebrities would come and plug their movies/shows in the UK, and with that finished they have been showing up on Top Gear with their movie trailers/plugs.
Not that I'm complaining, Top Gear is a very casual type of show and it's pretty interesting to see big celebrities talk about shit other than their movies in a casual setting. Pretty cool to find out what they drive too. With the amount of viewers Top Gear gets world wide, you'd think they'd have them more often though.
This is how the format of the show usually goes though for the last 3~ years (since specials were brought in). Early in the year = short series/season, and then come October/November it picks up again and usually ends with an epic of some sort.
EDIT: Just noticed Cantih pointed it out already. blah

Theres a vid from after the last episode where jeremy explains they decided to cut this season short cause he never spends any time with his kids. Thats not saying they wont do any specials tho![]()
Apparently I was confused, thanks Shojin.
