I actually drove a 91' 240sx through college. Fucking loved that car so much.
Never got into car stereos to much myself. I would love to hear an $8,000 car stereo though lol.

Too lazy to get a pic of mine, but here ya go. (Only difference is mine is pretty dirty. Looks more gray now than white, lol.)
Spoiler: show
Paid $500 7 years ago for it and never had a problem with it. Just typical maintenance. Gets me from point A, to point B. All I need.
I can't justify spending much on a car when I have so many other expensive toys ($20k invested in musical equipment) that take priority for me. Plus, after getting 27 speeding tickets by the age of 23...having my license suspended on 3 separate occasions for said infractions...blowing up 3 motors...picking up my car from impound on 4 different occasions...I decided to call it quits with fancy cars. Too tempting.
That just made me feel really, really fucking old.![]()
I miss my 240 / S15 ):
Some bitch totaled it at a stop light. Since they don't have the highest value, my insurance company decided it wasn't worth it and gave me the stick. I bought it back and parted it out - moved some of the parts over to my 3000GT but it still makes me sad every day. I didn't want to have a salvage titled car since the resale value would be low.
Edit: Found some pictures of it. Shedding tears ))))))): Shit I miss that car... 550RWHP and 2500lbs.

Pics of my PoS
Spoiler: show
(not sure why that third picture is smaller than the others)
Not gonna bother taking pictures, but a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4. Shit is a beast. I've done so much shit to wear her down and she still goes hard. She's still missing the front bumper though, after this dumb motherfucker hit us head on. I need to fix that some day.
That is exactly how my truck is. It has its share of problems but it still runs like a brand new truck. I've never owned a better vehicle.
I have the same but it isn't a 4x4. How many miles you have on it? I am about to hit 200k and hope to get another 50-100k out of it.
If I do get an office job, currently work construction, it is going to be hard for me to purchase a car as my next vehicle just because of my size.
I wonder how the %s of the people who have posted their cars pay for them? Lease/financing/cash/etc.,
I paid cash, up front. All $500.
I have an 2010 evo x now with SSS package (Bigger spoiler, 800 watt sound system, HIDs etc) and I've had it for about a month. Only picture I have is when I rolled it out the lot.

I just got a greddy se for it, paid 900 bucks brand new. Gonna put it in on Saturday.
Before that, I had an Acura TL which sadly got stolen.

S2000 - Financed and paid off after 1 year. I came into some money and just paid the car off to clear the debt.
Jeep - Cash. It was only 3 grand.
Miata - Financed because I don't have 25 grand laying around.
Fiance's Scion TC - Financed as well, 2 years left on that and it's paid off.
The 240SX stuff makes me cry. I got a 1990 240SX when I was 15 for my first car, and loved it. It died a horrible death after serving me 8 good years.. sigh, I still hate to think about it. That car would've lasted another decade or two easily.
Be prepared to be sad if you like 240s.
Spoiler: show
Now I have a 2003 Blazer; eh, it's in good shape and it was a great buy when I needed a ride again asap, but it's definitely not 240-fun.
First car: 1996 BMW 328i 90k miles manual - financed -> paid off -> crashed.
Lexus IS300 20k miles manual -financed -> so close to being paid off ffffff -> palm tree @about 125mph (had around custom molded fiberglass kit and spoiler based off my own personal designs, full interior and undercarriage light swap, etc. Loved that car more than I love my wife.) Lesson learned? Don't forget to put traction control back on even if it's only just a short sun shower.
Scion TC -> financed -> just paid it off in January. Followed promptly by someone in my apartment complex attempting to park their car inside of mine without leaving a note. Not worth spending even the deductable to fix a TC though in my opinion. It's like spending money on a Honda Civic.

Spent some more time looking around at cars because of this thread. More I think about it the more I'd happily buy another IS300. Same price for a 2002/2003 as I'd pay for an 05ish Acura RSX sport or low mileage 95-96 300zx TT. The early 2000's 3series BMWs are starting to come down as well, but even if they are more powerful I just don't think they're worth buying over a Lexus unless you live somewhere without speed limits. (BMW doesn't have shit on Lexus for luxury unless you're looking at an M5 or an M6, in which case you should be buying an Aston or something.)
I came...
I fucking love S15s!!!
I love my Evo, but I think about selling it and slowly building up a S15 or S2K way too much......
I got my Evo X at 0% interest for 60 months last year when Mitsu was doing shitty. Were it not for that incentive I'd probably still have the STI.I wonder how the %s of the people who have posted their cars pay for them? Lease/financing/cash/etc.
Sell EVO buy this:
Spoiler: show
Although, to be fair, I absolutely hate EVOs and would rather have a 10 year old car and need to rebuild every piece of the engine by hand over having a brand spanking new EVO. Honestly, even if I got one free I'd sell it. Something about them rubs me raw.
Figured ya car nuts might like this.

07 sti, 09 civic si, 05 neon srt4
my friend owns all 3 he's big in to tuning, i can give ya a list of what done to them.
also what drives a man to supe up a neon?
If I ever do sell it would be for something light, I'm tired of having heavy "sport sedans."
My car just feels so big sometimes.
A lack of touch with reality. Which, coincidentally, is what drives a man to supe up a civic.
I can't really imagine myself going into a roadster or a little mini sports car. I'm just not too crazy about them. Something like an S2000 or an RX8 would tempt me, but really, I doubt it. I do like having a powerful car, but I'd rather have a powerful car that is comfortable, has all the shit I need, and looks great too. Not exactly like you can make use out of more than 250HP on an average day in America.
To go for a lighter car, for me, it'd have to be something like a Lotus.
SRT-4 ruined the pic
SRT-4 Drivers are the biggest douche bags on the planet. There is a guy with one down the street... He's always asking me to "run." When I first got the Evo he literally stopped in front of my house and revved continuously. Also builds enough boost when going down our housing street so we can all hear his BOV.
