Nah, I had all the interior LEDs switched to a dark purple and ran same color underneath. Car was a metallic black. It was a nice color scheme, but it was also independent of the whole fast and the furious shit, which of course made it so that my decision to install them made me feel like a fucking faggot based on the type of people who also thought it was cool.
I like purple and black combo though![]()
meh imo underglow can be pretty cool if done right, never saw it on a lexus but it sounds like it would look pretty awesome. i just hate it when people have these crazy bodykits rocking some altezza lights and ridiculous underglow
i was really thinking about doing it myself for a little, but decided against it.
just wondering, is it actually legal to drive around with it in general? keep hearing different things from people about it, some say its completely illegal, others say its only illegal if you use red/blue since it can be seen as impersonating a cop.
It's illegal but I drove around with it on almost all the time and never got in trouble for it once, oddly enough. I think cops only get pissed over red or blue lights? Can't really be sure to be honest.
And to be honest, if I re-did a Lexus IS300 and had magically come into a bit more money, I'd do it again. I went through a lot of effort to make unique body modifications that were tailored specifically to the the design of the IS and tried to keep it as elegant as possible. That being said, I doubt I'd ever do it on another car and I'd never do it on a car I planned to do engine work on.
Show cars should be separate from track cars or cars you plan to "race" in, in my opinion. Not like a body kits weight and loss of aerodynamics is helping anyways lol.
Undercarriage lights are illegal in most areas no matter the color but cops generally don't care unless you are driving retarded. You can get away with them if you have a show license but you aren't supposed to drive on the roads with them on even then. I thought about putting some on my 00' Celica GTS but there were too many speed bumps where I lived. Loved that car, until it caught on fucking fire. . .
btw sath, you are a fag and say hi to caiti for me! I would love her more then your lexus.
I think y'all are just hating on neon's because dude's spending 1/4 of what you are and sandbagging to beat you by 2 lengths in the quarter
I drive a very womanly 2010 Honda Fit Sport. I bought it in December, sitting around 3200 miles so far. I like that it's so small b/c I can park it any where with ease and also squeeze around people who get in my way.

The boyfriend drives an 04 BMW. He doesn't go out much, so it only has 20k miles on it after ~6 years. I bought a sticker for him to put on it

Lol will do.
And nono pics of my lovely lexus survive. The laptop I had at the time I utterly failed (corrupted HD) and
I wasn't able to rescue anything off of it. Still pisses me off to this day.
Long and short of it was removing the entire dash panel coverings and swapping every LED orange bulb out for a deep purple one and doing a front headlamp swap to those purpleish tinted xenon lights. interior driver and passenger side foot rest lights and standard undercarriage outside as well.
Ran them to two separate switches on left on steering wheel. One for outside one for inside. Can pick up toggle switches at any electronics store, same with LEDs once you get the specific stats for what your car uses.
Hmm...
My car needs so much work, I need to stop thinking about this stuff again.
Awesome sticker Setsuko.
Taken from wiki. 1998 Saturn Sc2. Had it for almost 7 years. 183k on it(133k from me). Mine looks like shit though. Faded from the Florida sun. Scratches everywhere. Hole in front bumper from brother-in-law backing into it. Right now I really like the looks of 00-03 Toyota Solara and Acura CLs. I can't afford more then say 3k for a car currently so I don't think it's worth it right now. So many hot cars here though!

I have a shitty 2000 Grand Am GT(my first, I've had it for almost 3 years), 176k miles, which probably was a decent starting car in its prime, but no longer. Rust and random problems every few months have lead me to despise this thing, but alas I have no monies for a new car.
Only thing of any worth in the thing is the $1800 retail sound sytem I put in and random customizations like heating vent lights and stuff (I like tinkering with electronics and such.)
Now in the next 3-4 years after college, I am expecting to start out making around 75-80k a year working, after a few years possibly even 100k depending on where I work. I've loved the thought of being able to afford a Lambo at some point in my life. Anyone have any opinions on them, and/or an idea of how much they are to actually own after the car price?
First vehicle was a '91 Ford Ranger that felt like it was going to fall to pieces and had power steering problems, only drove it for about 500 miles until we got rid of it due to it being unreliable. Had about 150k miles on it. Next vehicle was a '00 Dodge Ram 1500, regular cab/bed. Thing had nothing under the hood and I had to wait until I was going down a hill to pass people. Drove it for about 3-4 years until I headed down south to college. It had 99k miles and I put about 7k on it in that time. I then had to drive my mother's '05 Pontiac G6 GT which is horrible. All sorts of problems with that car cause she doesn't know how to take care of it. And for the next car... Basically the same story as Ecks, I called literally 100 dealers in Texas/Louisiana/Oklahoma and had no luck. Seemed further south I went, more money over MSRP they wanted. Down in Houston there was a car that fit right in my price range but then they wanted 10k over sticker price. I finally gave up until my dad got onto a Camaro board and found some guy in Michigan (Buff Whelan Chevrolet) that gave it to us below sticker but we had to order. Longest three months of my life. My dad then rode a bus for 24 hours to pick my car up since I was already in college. I absolutely love the car and want to keep it for as long as possible. Last I checked the odometer was sitting at 7800 miles. This was one of the teaser pics my mom sent me while I was in class one day and I couldn't concentrate at all the rest of that week.

Oh and I have never been pulled over going through all those vehicles. Guess this was my present for being such a safe driver. Many Mustangs have wanted to race (and huge diesel trucks, lol @ living in a small Texas town) but I just wave 'em off and keep cruising.
Stories like that just drive me nuts waiting for my Camaro. Little concerned i'll have a hell of a time getting a good deal, but i'm willing to walk away if they give me BS.
Laughed at the wanting to race bit, for me in my 89', it's always minivans that want to race, i shit you not. Strangest thing.
New Camaro is a nice looking car. I'd never buy one, but they're cool.

Don't have a picture of mine, but that's the same year/color. Best $4,000 I've ever spent.
I used to have that happen too. Guys in beat up old cars and just anything wanting to race me. One that sticks out in my mind is guys in a mini-van wanted me to spin my tires at a light lol. I don't think I did, but I took off and they finally caught me at the next light and were giving me the horns out the window. Was pretty fun
