It's still stockgetting ready to put in orders for intake/tuner and an exhaust
past that I really don't know what else to mod on a 5.0. first time owning anything other than an import
Yeah, that's the goal. Going to decide on some wheels in the next month or so. I already got it tinted, but I've been out of town more than at home the last few months, so nothing more. Also just ordered a cold air intake, and axle back exhaust, with a tune. Exhaust is primarily because the damn thing is too quiet for a muscle car.
Honestly, I have so much on my wish list for this thing, from style to performance.
@Bechyni: americanmuscle.com has some black friday deals on CAI/bama tunes you may want to take a look at. The axle back I got was also on sale.
What are some good brands for CAI/tuner/etc
For CAI, Steeda is really good. I have a JLT on the way. Airaid is pretty good as well. For tuners, I guess it really depends on what you want to do. I don't know too much about each tuner. I just have a basic one coming with a tune from Bama tuners.
The axle back exhausts are kinda based on the sound you want. Obviously I can't personally attest for each brand, but if you check out a Mustang forum (allfordmustangs.com), they'll have a lot of different feedback on things there. Just need to comb through the random BS threads.
Should also say I'm still relatively new to the Mustang/5.0 scene. Previously I had a '04 Vette. I've just been doing a lot of reading on the pre-mentioned site, among others, and trying to put together a build I think would work for my daily driver.
Bought a JLT intake, SLP axleback and a tuner for the 5.0. Thinking of doing some cosmetic stuff next (rims, tires etc) but next things for "power" I'm thinking headers, x-pipe; although after those I really have no idea where to go from there lol
I've been told that I'm not allowed to post my car.
Well, now we have to see it.
it's a 2001 nissan of sorts
Got you beat son (maybe), 2001 Hyundai
My next trip will hit me at 225,000 !
Also, I may be getting a Ninja 300 soon. :3
Your tiburon isn't fucking with my R34, sorry.
If I cared about power, I would have said so. I just like how many miles are on the car, hope I can break 300k
somewhat amazed that thing is still going, tbh
Cocky as shit with your skyline, eh? No surprise why.
If only vettes had optional all-wheel drive...
I don't get to open her up very often, but a group of us went to the circus, and i offered to take one with me... white knuckled on the expressway, lol
Don't fuck with an axle back that's not going to change anything but the sound. You need to start at the headers and go full 3" from there on that thing.
Aside from that your basic cold air and SCT tuning are about the limit of what you can do without getting expensive or requiring serious knowledge.
With just that stuff you're already going to need new tires, though, especially if you consider a lower gearing.
