As someone who doesn't deal with snow, we don't change our tires for the winter. A 225 tire width for that weight is going to wear down a whole lot faster when you consider how heavy the Mach E is. It's a consideration for me when thinking economically.
This is quite literally my field if expertise.

Sucks that the electric-only range is only 21 miles
this is supposed to be the future, the fucking 2011 Volt got 35 miles...11 years ago!
21 miles…..wot
It's a PHEV, many of them have crappy electric-only ranges - but also long enough for a lot of people's round trip commutes so eh
I'm p sure that if it didn't weigh 1200 lbs heavier than the Volt and have a 375 hp engine it could get better battery-only range. Hard to compare electrical mileage of compact car to a mid-size SUV because weight.
I dont understand the PHEV suv appeal
the cars weigh a ton more than their gas counterparts, get worse gas mileage after the battery dies, take forever to charge, and have neutered engines
is the tax credit worth a crappier, more complicated to fix vehicle?
Anyone have opinions on Jeep Wranglers? Thinking of getting an unlimited 2022 Sahara model ordered up and selling off my 370z. About same MPG and I can't bring myself to buy a compact SUV since they all look exactly the same and are boring as fuck. There's a lot of trails up here in NM to go offroading/mudding on and no work commute so my only drive each day is to the gym about 20mi away. Gonna test drive a Bronco Sport tomorrow but still kinda meh about them
New model year 4runner this year (I think this gen has been out a decade). If it looks half as good as the new tundra or new land cruiser, it will be fire.
I’ve been having this impulse to trade in my 2018 STI and using the equity to payoff a 2022 BRZ. There’s one sitting at the closest dealer for the past week or so. But I’ve never driven a BRZ.
Well, it gets roughly 25 miles on electric, there's owners that have gone 900+ miles before refueling. Gets roughly 50mpg combined in a 4x4 with towing capabilities in the north east. Not too shabby.
Then there's the tax credits and being one of the only vehicles selling under MSRP right now.
It's a $60,000+ vehicle leasing for 320-350 a month. It's unbelievable. Also they are so far under MSRP (9-10%) they are easily flippable for a few grand after arrival.
Meanwhile a loaded Kona would run 47k and 348 a month with only front wheel drive. Easy choice.
That's what i've heard, though 4xe is something I entertained, not gonna trust a 1st year Jeep Transmission that's a hybrid plugin. Already some horror stories on it. Figure though I won't be holding it past 4yrs or so and they retain value like a mother fucker.
Found a dealer in PA that will stick to promise of 5% below invoice and now shopping around to see if I can get anyone to match closer. NM is a no-go, no one will go under MSRP but we don't have any mega dealerships in this shit hole of a state. Looking at Idaho there's a place who MIGHT go at 8% below so reached out to them, haven't heard back yet. Also hit up a Koons in VA. I got no issue flying back to DMV to pick it up since my work is still there and i'll be flying back anyways for on prem doctorate classes every now and then.
Mine will be shipped to my door on a flatbed for 400 to $450. It's coming from the DC area and I'm debating if I want to go get it myself. Probably two and a half hour trip each way.
Oh really? That's not too bad for even 2hr ship rate. Feel like mine would probably be like at least $1000 to flatbed it from PA to NM. Been shopping around elsewhere too for better deals close by:

Above site shows how low some dealers will go below invoice.
That's pretty cool, I lease and use leasehackr and am getting 9.3% off MSRP + 7500 tax credit and a few other things.
So I built the most expensive Sahara 4xe I could to break 60k and take advantage of the high residual. Rubicon does slightly better but I don't want one of those.
