Just fyi you can report him to a GM and possibly get a strike on his account for naming you specifically in his search comment without your consent. I remember one of my friends getting a GM called on him because his bazaar comment named one of the idiots on Fairy and he got a strike. So maybe for report him for the lulz?

It looks more like your autotranslate broke, just in a different manner than the more common random string of JP characters version? As far as I can tell, the only words showing up in translate in that SS are item names - no phrases/words/commands/etc. It seems really strange that there would be a full page of shouts without a single {Do you need it?}, {Can I have it?}, {please}, {/tell}, and so on. Some of the lines just don't make sense if this isn't the case, especially the fourth line; why would someone put "/" between each empty translate? The explanation that they instead put something like "{Do you need it?} Abyssea {Looking for members.} 13/18: {Bard} / {Corsair} / {White Mage} {Red Mage} {Scholar}" and your translate is broken seems more logical.

Then again, I could be wrong. People could really be that annoying.

It's a common Windower issue that I've had pop up here and there, around the same rate as the autotranslate showing text in Japanese.

I had some problems with the wiring outside my house about ~8 months ago, and my connection was dropping about 10-15% of my packets. I'd almost always get the JP data or blank auto-translate, which makes me believe it's a result of connection problem. Logging back to POL and back in fixes the issue~ (Although if you have a permanent connection issue like mine, you'll see the problem pop up frequently!)
