To be halfway fair it really isn't that hard to outparse people. On my last Jol i kept on pissing off the pld/ls leader because my thf kept on taking hate despite only wsing stacked.
The real fail is that he apparently outparses people as badly as he claims while in full pink gimp garb.

Sounds like Phenomenal on Valefor. Called me gimp for using Hauby on SAM (when I have usu boots for 6 hit), while he's wearing full pink on THF, tping in dex rings, claiming he can outparse me. Then proceeded to make fun of my THF, claiming that I'm not better than him cause I have things that a full alliance to get, this of course referring to my Love Torque, brutal earring, etc. I just lol'd at him, there was nothing I could say that could've made it more funny.

EDIT: Oh yeah, he also claimed he could outparse Mandau THFs. This was all sparked cause I denied him entrance into an Abyssea burn cause he was THF, saying "Unless you have a Mandau, get on a real DD. Cause what you're wearing leads me to believe that you're incapable of doing that on THF."

I suppose i should defend myself a bit...

The first thing (and worse) that ppl concluded, which is also the main reason i'm posting, was that i full timed pink gear. No. No, i don't lol. I simply use some pink variation as town gear. I like my cat to look hot on my screen. Although it isn't exactly hot, but it's a new look to refresh thing up a bit.

I currently got 3 pieces of pink gear: the body that i use on eva and ranged attacks (which saves slot space of having sh and pahluwan); the legs that i use on tp cause i'm still waiting skadi 25 to drop; and the feet as an eva piece that is perfect for a mix match eva+dd.

On the mnk thing i guess my ego was a bit too high and i couldn't control it when i said it all. I can't out parse a mnk on any situation a mnk can dd. First of all, a thf actually needs a partner (dd) to be effective, that way he can sa/ta whenever timers are up. If the thf is the only dd, he won't be able to ride SA (could ride TA on mages though), loosing a lot of performance. Taking also that a big % of the damage a thf provides comes from sa/ta, situations where mobs die too fast can also hurt his performance. One example i can give is bhaf rampart spawns. It's really tough to get a solo sa/ta in on those things, because they die too damn fast, speacially with "big dds" spamming ws.

I still believe mnk is a weak dd anyway ( and so is thf). Still ppl were saying that using mnk on salvage is a good idea (bear with me for now). Well, i didn't like this, so i threw that comment "mnk is fail" to incite them. I don't believe this is a good idea because we got so many good pole sams; there should be no reason to have a mnk. I've parsed time and time again a bb mnk doing damage on my lolthf grounds. Me winning whenever i could melee more (ZR first floors for one).

Of course of course, even with bb, that could have been a bad mnk. But c'mon, how hard it is to have maxed performance with mnk? You engage, wait tp, ws, engage, wait tp, ws, throw some 5min ja to the mix there. Compare this to thf now...for a thf to be a good dd he has to work his ass off. And that's what i do. I've even got spellcast (on all my jobs for that matter) to help with that. I don't like poor performance on anything i do.

In the end when i lol at mnk, that's because this is the current state of things. 1handers can't compete with hasso. A Mnk won't come close to a 5hit pole sam. Future martial arts tiers will get mnk some real edge, and that's actually something to look upon. Still, instead of argumenting anything with me, no, they needed to come and post it here, so they could see random ppl crushing me (as they couldn't do it themselves).

Willing to parse or math against any 5hit pole SAM you know, just let me know. With piercing bonus, best equipped SAM I know outdid my MNK by 8% on greaters. With piercing bonus, I outdid the best MNK I know by 6% on greaters(All 3 people involved have full usu and use it appropriately: 5hit SAMs only using body and feet, MNKs using full set). Take out piercing and MNK's ahead, but that's nothing above anecdotal so..

Provide a sample gearset for a polearm SAM that I can run numbers to compare to my MNK. Alternatively, provide an actual polearm SAM that I can parse against.

PS: Your THF is average at best and comes nowhere near a MNK, don't fool yourself.
