I'm not hard headed enough to keep saying that i'm right lol. My experience is certainly spoiled. One thing to note is that i never joined an above average shell, so i never really knew ppl with real skills.

Still i have known some full usu bb mnks on my way; always parsing pretty much everything i do, i did happen to find their performance disappointing. Considering my old opinion on mnk (which i posted - engage, wait tp, ws etc), i pretty much blamed the job for being lousy. Didn't figure one needed skill to do good damage on mnk.

I do know i'm an average thief gearwise. But thief really does need a bit more than engage, wait tp and ws to pull weight. And i trust my skills, so much that my ego spoke louder than anything.

I hope everyone can understand that this all was based on my personal game experience. And it is not completely eyeballed too, so i do have some some ground to say things. Although, yeah, i was never in a circle composed of the greatest FF players, so my opinion/experience is biased for sure. I know this doesn't matter in the end, and when it comes to the best of the best dd, in truth, im not eluded enough to think thf is there. Still i believe a good thf can pull its weight, and risking being laughable or egocentric again, i believe i can do as much too.

Parsing is engage speed. A not-afk mnk will wipe the floor with ANY thief.

I think the only times in Dynamis I didn't top the parse were the runs I was afk through.

It takes a relic THF with absurd skill to parse with a top tier non relic MNK (full usu, BB, HQ asuran set, etc). A non relic THF just doesn't stand a reasonable chance vs a MNK, piercing bonus aside. I've had the luxury of parsing with one of the best MNK's on siren pre-mandau/pre-spharai, post-mandau/pre-spharai and post-mandau/post-spharai. 1st scenario was a pretty solid advantage, 2nd scenario was close and in the occasional situation of piercing favortism ended up in my favor and in the 3rd scenario still had the rare win, but pretty overwhelming disadvantage. If you're a non-relic THF, I don't see you parsing with a MNK that doesn't TP in AF and brown belt or something. When you compare parse ability, if the person isn't capable of playing the job, the parse means nothing.

Wipe the floor is a pretty extreme stance to take, but to say a THF can consistently beat a well geared/skilled MNK is a bit far fetched. MNK is, sadly, one of the more under appreciated DD's since people value screenshots and spike damage for some odd reason, as the cap rises and rises, MNK is going to dominate more and more just by the simple nature of it being a dot job and attack vs defense of most content we do already growing in disparity.

Royal ramble pick up group. Pld full timed full Relic, made us wait 30 minutes while he got there. He then stood around doing nothing while we killed the King. The end is everyone getting fed up with him and leaving.

Evilddstroyer is also in that SS. I once watched that guy stand at the entrance to Nyzul Isle and badmouth literally everyone in sight in /say, while wearing the worst set of gear I'd seen in months.

Pickup BCNM can be great fun, or it can be a pain in the ass. Looks like the one shown here was the latter.

God fucking damnit! No pics, but just tried to do a yovra sam/dnc again, this time on om'yovra with a BRD playing me mambox2.. It went well... until 18%. It decided to strip me of all my gear just as I had 100%tp and was about to blind it (it had just worn) so lost my tp and I get down to 300hp getting beaten with no gear, finally get my shit back up and to 900hp, but no tp, the mob's still not blinded, and he fucking charms me... Hits the bard til he's at 230hp...

I uncharm after brd lullaby's yovra, waiting for meditate so I can cure the brd a little and then continue, 2 seconds before med is up, pos wakes up and kills the brd... then charms me again (I have 2:30 waiting on meikyo shisui so this pissed me off) when I uncharm like 10 seconds later, it's already at 45% again (from 25%) and kills me....
