Probably not, but saying I was turned down is a different story.
I'm going to go ahead and jump in here, and hope that it ends with this.
Everyone here knows where this will go and no one will benefit from mud slinging. Obviously there was some internal drama and some problems between members during the reformation of Resonance from Beyond and Volume.
During that time HM got a few new members from the split, and I have found them to be competent and skilled players. I'm sure everyone has their own opinion and I have taken into consideration the feedback given to me by various people.
That being said, I have never bore ill will towards volume/res or it's members, and I do my best to take the drama between shells/members with a grain of salt. I was the one who told Res when our AV kill would be and I had no problem with them gathering to finish it off as we had no exit plan had we failed. I've talked with Res about strat improvements and we've shared parses.
I am happy for Res for their kills and I believe our LS is one of the other few LSs that is capable of killing it at this time. I would appreciate it if the many friends I have in Res do not resort to insulting HM (which is a very good LS) due to hurt feelings you may have for a few of your old members.
I suggest everyone put away your pissers and relax. Nothing will be gained by continuing this.
24 people is all we use. That may be high for shells these days, but we're mostly adding people on attendance that are standing around and helping. I'm not entirely sure how more spectators helps ones chances, but I guess if you say so, I'll trust your judgment on it as you're obviously the expert.
Past that, I agree with Neo that there is no reason to shit-sling on either shell. Keep it individual, at the very least, but sorry Bech, your BS is flat out wrong. Neither of you were welcome back at the start, though at first Navid did want to give you a second chance. And it seemed neither of you wanted back in at first either. When Navid did bring it to other members when you wanted to get back in, he asked the ex-Volume members, and something like 1 person thought you were worth a second chance.
Realistically can you sit here and say that pre-merge that Volume could of beat AV the way it was going? Because we all know that without the merge Volume was going down the drain, which was the meaning behind his post "a newly merged shell" etc. Not going to sit here and say that Volume isn't good because that's not the case, but without the bodies from Beyond it wouldn't of been possible to kill AV.
And yet, a ton of other shells easily have the members. Perhaps I'm off, but I read his post as us just throwing people at it, and took the following quote wrong.
24 people is all you need. Anything past that is essentially watching the fight. Yea, Volume had something like 12 active members, and that's a bit low to kill AV, but we're not just throwing more and more numbers at it in hopes of killing it, and there's a definite point that is not hard to hit where more bodies no longer help. Again, perhaps I'm misinterpreting his comment, but that's how it came off as I read it.The higher your numbers are, the higher your chances for success are.
In any case, I have nothing against either of you 2 as players, just think you both have some really shitty attitudes, which is how most of the people in Volume felt.
The comment was pretty much meant to be "you use 24 but have you x amount left over just in case something goes wrong" and the "x" amount is a decent amount that could be used as a second DD alliance or at least a few hold parties.
The shitty attitudes toward the ends was purely towards people being the absolute laziest I've ever seen in an end-game LS and the canceling of every event except fafnir/kb. It should of been pretty obvious since we loved the shell in the beginning and no one really had any problems (that I'm aware of).
God I wish I could harness all the nerd raging power going on in here. I could power my apartment for months.
Extra people aren't near as useful as you're implying, especially in bracelet mode with 2hrs unlocked. Even when we have had something go wrong, outside people haven't mattered. We invite a few in at the end for title, that's it, lol.
And, I dunno what changed. Early on you were both a lot better attitude wise, obviously. I then took my 2 month break or whatever, but when I got back, from my point of view, you 2 were as much of the problem as other people. Not really worth arguing over it and I'm not saying it wasn't unprovoked in my absence, but I hope you can at least recognize how it was from my point of view.
I'd strongly suggest learning what the word rage means. Literacy and vocabulary may or may not help you get further in life.God I wish I could harness all the nerd raging power going on in here. I could power my apartment for months.
Eh a few extra people never hurt but not saying it's a tremendous boost. Yeah I know where you are coming from coming back to a complete 180 in people. By that point though everything had pretty much flatlined and I didn't really care to bust my ass anymore. Was more or less aggravating/depressing that it went from 1/1 PW to canceling Ein/Dyna because only 10-12 people signed up.
Surprisingly more civil than I expected >.>.
To add to random fail, I randomed a 34 for the refresh hairpin in today's abyssea.
I once solo'd AV simply by looking at him. I have no drops to show for it because my inventory was full and I accidentally hit my //ll passall macro.
page 34 of this thread is a random fail by itself
