So i'm curious what merits everyone has? Capped call beast for T1 & capped affinity for T2? After that it seems to be a tossup. Reward, Sic, KI & Feral Howl seem to be interesting. All depends on how SE plans to deal with Sic in future patches i suppose.

I finally got in to an Abyssea PT (buggards), but basically had to bet the leader that I could out do most of his DDs he had.

lol, talk about raep. Bunny doing around 100 dmg a hit, my attacks were pretty decent, plus 800~900 primal rends. I subbed dnc, which was a bad idea, I died about 7 times; either myself or my pet pulled hate and kept hate nearly every fight.

Why didn't you snarl, shouldn't get hate at all.

Similarly Hydra can be done with about the same. We did it with 10 BST, 1 SMN, and a RDM. Nerve Gas can make it difficult low percentage so although you could probably kill with one or two less BST, it could be risky.

I have:
Lv5 Call Beast recast
Lv5 Sic recast
Lv5 Killer Instinct (It's great for parties when you have a jug pet that is strong against the mobs you're fighting. +15% damage boost while it's up)
Lv5 Beast Affinity

Call beast recast merits were a toss up but I had to put the points somewhere so I figured it might be useful in those "oh shit" situations where you're tossing jug pets at stuff to keep yourself alive long enough to log out or zone.

Totally forgot about that Killer Effect update. Gonna have to do this merit set up now.

And now I wanna try the 9-10 BST on Jorm thing as well, haha.

Was doing it with 10-12ish bst and 6-8 smn in 2004, took about an hour for tia, closer to 2 for jorm cuz of blood weapon and having to spam carries vs nasty black antlions.

When I was still playing I think we did Jorm. with 20-25~ people (random numbers of Smn and Bst with 1-2 refreshers per Smn PT) and it took like 50~ minutes to take it down. Neuro could probably give exact numbers as it's been awhile since I've played/did Jormy.

Anxious to see them take it down with Lvl 80 cap now.. considering how fast MonstersInc took down Cerberus this past weekend.. six minutes I think.

Been wanting the Spurrer Beret from MM before the bst patch. Soloing was a bitch as pulling to the fomor NM was dangerous and a mischarm would almost be a wipe. I did kill it several times with LS using a pld tank and nuking/zone with blm's.

Today I decided to kill with 3 bst's and a smn. We pulled it to fomor room and took out the NM in 2 min. To be honest this was over kill. If all 3 bst's used ladybug could kill the NM where it spawns. 2 ladybugs each and the NM is dead. No drop. This information might be handy, so GL

haven't killed him since the update but we triod a few times with 3 bst just toss the crawlers in the room.

Well we got vrtra to 80% first try and 75% second try with a mix of bst and smn's.

Just seemed his pets would switch hate to us after a bit even tho we still had our pets on him.

Add's in the room weren't even a problem with jugs on vrtra and bst fighting the undead in room.

Probably try again after level cap raise next month >.>

The problem we always had was that vrtra himself would switch to us because slept pets couldn't make hate, so if you're able to get enough hate on the pets to keep vrtra occupied, you guys should be able to handle the adds as easily as the normal spawns in the room.

Have a couple of Bsts sub war (or something that can create some enmity), and voke/snarl hate onto their pets

Maybe could also try /blu for building hate with certain spells, no? Though I'm not sure what subbed /blu has for hate options other than wild carrot, healing breeze, and I think blank gaze/jettatara? It might build more CE and hate overall than /war with it's decaying provoke, but having not leveled bst, I can't say since your pets die a lot, perhaps too quickly to make CE worth it. <,<;

Well I was thinking /war because it's nice and quick so Vrtra wouldn't rape the Bst

used 3 jugs (2hr last jugs but NM was down @ 60% of Ladybug ),can be done with 2pet , I prefered use Sudden Lunge than Noisome Powder
Melee it 100%> 47% with "Pet: set" on me and toss Rampage @100TP + Snarl
