I'll just leave this here.

Go go!! Get it done!
We actually went here after killing Jormungand to see how we'd do, didn't even expect to make it half as far. We'll go back later with more people and proper support and we should win. 75% of the people there didn't even have Poison Potions and Vrtra opened with Sleepga hitting half the ally and half the pets.
Shit hit the fan at about 25%, and not because of Wing spam actually. We were there with a flat 14 BST and 1 SMN and that was it. We cleared the room at the beginning, and immediately got started on Vrtra when it was clear. We totally ignored his summons and just let them beat on our pets along with Vrtra. Right around 25% the room started to repop and it was just a chain reaction from there as you can imagine. 23% was the lowest we got it. Right there at like 30% we were all healthy and fine as you can see. If we go back with like 18 BST, a simple add party, and maybe 2-3 BRD who can run in and spam Horde Lullaby on his pets, we should have it.
Also on this note, do his summons build resist to sleep? I assume they do, but need confirmation. Also, Sheep Song was able to sleep one of the skeletons but the other pets evaded.
Ya Vrtra's Smns build resistance to sleep pretty quickly. The regular mobs you can hold indefinitely though.

About 15 minute fight. Full 18 BST ally. Less than 6 combined deaths for main ally and add party.
Most impressive.
Congratulations. lol
Impressive indead. So 18 bst's + add PT of mnks, whm brd's? Dammit i wish u were on Odin![]()
any testing done on the new funguar? the old one was powerful in its own right, but if the new funguar is on par with the rest of the new pets, should be a beast.
We had 33 in zone I believe but we definitely didn't need that much, we could probably do it with around 26. We opted not to use SMN because of the risk of having to run in every minute to Blood Pact with wing and all, so they were in the add/summon ally. We had 22 BST in zone but we could have gotten away with 18-20. We had a ~12 man add/summon party consisting of BLM and SMN. These acted as both the add party and summon party, they took care of basically every monster other than Vrtra. For much of the fight we used the "ignore pet" strat were we just went about things as if Vrtra didn't have pets at all. We had the add party run in and -aga all the pets down at 75% and 35% I believe, so we only killed his pets two or three times. I actually fucked up and aggroed Vrtra before everyone was ready when we were clearing room monsters and we still managed to pull things together and recover.
And I've heard that Deepbed Soil actually sucks, it seems like its basically just a 75 cap version of Seedbed Soil. For the most part as far as DD goes, Sheep -> Coeurl/Rabbit -> Others.
Don't know if this has been mentioned. It seems atma bonuses are applied to bst pets as well. My pet is gaining 3tp a tick regain with glyph axe and eccentric eve atma.
Now if only they'd get rid of the sic recast altogether. Leveling bst, the level increases have me excited for more new jugs, especially with how out of left field the new ones were.
What should I spend my tier 2 merits on? Beast Affinity used to be a no-brainer, but now I'm not so sure. It looks like the new jugs are all uncapped at level 80. Not sure if we're getting new jugs in future updates, or if they'll still be uncapped at 99. Thoughts? Speculation?
I have capped Reward and Call Beast. I rarely party on BST. I usually solo and just throw pets at stuff. I'm seriously considering maxing Beast Healer, to stack with other reward/regen gear for an idle-when-pet-is-engaged set.
Is Feral Howl worth it at all?
If you're using wild pets Feral Howl's really useful for just stopping a mischarm from ripping your face off for a few seconds while you do what BST does best and run away. I haven't unlocked it yet because I've been working on other job merits - but husband has it unlocked and said he was sceptical at first but now he loves the job ability.
first thing im going to cap is sic/ready, so maybe that?
Do you have Af2 Gloves? If not, should put some merits into Affinity. I ended up capping Affinity incase its needed in the future.
My final merits are 5/5 in Call Beast and Reward and 4/5 Beast Healer with 1/5 Feral Howl. I did have 5/5 Feral Howl and 5/5 Sic in the past but those for what I have now. I think the no brainers are 5/5 Call Beast and 5/5 Beast Affinity, after that its really preference and what you use BST for.
Also..

Was rough but not too rough. Could have been smoother but to be honest it was a really good fight given the obstacles in our way. Had one BLM who was being dual-boxed there and that's it for Stuns, half the people didn't know how to get to Khimaira, and we managed to bring a few Soulflayers to camp during the fight that we had to manage to kill. Pulled with 3-4 BST and they were enough to hold for like 3-5 minutes and brought it to 95% in the meantime.
Final tally there was 10 BST, 3 SMN, 1 THF, 1 BLM, 1 SAM. SAM didn't even get to do anything. If we had better numbers, and a few /DRK, would have been worlds easier.
damn, gettin all the mobs on ramuh
I'm curious what macros does everyone use for "ready" commands. I just manually do them. Also, anyone know much about coding? I'd love for the bst TP plugin for windower to work again. Lol.
