You'd be a pretty sad bst if you couldn't position a pet onto a the front of a mob properly, methinks. <_<; And while it sucks for your NN, I doubt a tank or whm will be complaining about a disposable pet soaking up some damage for the tank/melee. I could see some difficulties of bst against the flying wyrm types though, but that's an issue all melee gotta deal with. As for meteor, there is a little thing called Leave. If for some reason your pet pulls hate and there's a meteor inc, and it cant get away in time, just dismiss it. Voila, meteor fails in midcast, so it's as if you stunned it, and everyone is happy. Well, maybe not the bst since you might have to wait on call beast timer, but it's a small price to pay. Unless you got a bunch of pets and no tank though, it's unlikely your jugpet will pull hate in less than 5 minutes anyways though. Unless your tank reaaaally sucks.

I was mainly refering to the flying wyrms yes. In many cases I can have my pet with more hate than a pld in 3 or 4 minutes even if I don't snarl at some point. I would probably miss the call of meteor on my pet getting people killed.

K, first off. Get a better pld. I know NN is a powerful DD, but come on, A pld shouldn't be failing that hardcore.

Second, if you have difficulties telling who has hate, then there's a simple macro that assists with that, the /assist macro!
Line one: /as <t> (where <t> will be whatever monster you want to know who is on top of hate list of)
    line two: /wait 1
/line three: <t> has hate! (Or whatever you want to say if at all, you could just have line one if you want only to know who has hate for yourself. Whenever you target a monster and hit this macro, it will change the target to the person on top of hate list for that monster, including pets. This way, when you see meteor being cast, all you need to do is target KB, hit the macro, and if you see your pet as the target, Leave it and laugh as the poor purple people eater stares in confusion over its lost target.

Still though, is it normal for a tank to lose hate to pet on wyrms within a few minutes? I know there's something about horrid roar that sucks for tanks, but unless it's hate reset and you only got one tank, I don't see how it would be that much of an issue. Even if so, as long as you don't do something crazy like sending your pet behind a wyrm when it's on the ground, I don't see why you should care whether it manages to pull hate since wyrms don't like turning on the ground.

Do wyrms use spike flail if the target is to the side of them, or only behind? If only behind, you could just deploy on the frontish/side of the wyrm opposite of the mages to avoid them eating runaway breath attacks. :s

Wow, holy shit. Gear for Reward is % based (or was, anyway). If base is 987, basic gear is going to add hundreds of HP to that.

stun and drain will be nice. the real winner is acid mist. that shit is potent. I really, REALLY wanted a slime, but i guess this'll work. at least they're expanding on the different pet families available finally.

Look at it this way. You don't get a pet with excellent physical damage taken down, but increased magic damage taken. You get an evasive little pet that can regen itself and lower the monsters attack so far down that it might as well be a slime pet. (if it's anything as bad as vs players. <.<; )

And without the magic damage taken increase!

::edit:: and fook the evil smileys, i hate how they mistake parentheses and the like for smileys instead of proper punctuation. ;.; )

If the TP Drainkiss is powerful, i'll jizz. This pet sounds amazing either way. A great rival to sheep for DDing.
