Just did the quick math for it.
Average Gil without Dipper Yuly : 158.63
Average Gil with Dipper Yuly: 237.75
FFXIclopedia has Gilfinder at a 150% Gil bonus. The math for this small test comes out to a 149.87% increase..

Geeze, just go kill a NM with a static gil drop. End of test.
my mind could be playing tricks on me... but i counted 22 critical attacks out of the last 100 hits with this ladybug...
edit: is this normal?

Going back to take the elevator up now.
A BST pet with Gilfinder would probably also mean it has TH, which would be incredibly awesome! Not hard to test TH though:
I've done some TH testing, and the fastest results you will be getting is from Pit Hares in Palborough mines. You'll one-shot them, but I've killed 1000 Pit Hares there (which didn't take as long as you'd think, there's a shitload of them) and the results show that even when one-shotting mobs, TH kicks in.
Here were the results:
[no TH]
79 drops / 400 mobs = 20%
[TH1]
162 drops / 440 mobs = 37%
[TH2]
97 drops / 200 mobs = 49%
TH2 didn't require as much testing because the drop rate is closer to the center (50%), so you'll get reliable results faster. Anyway...
You could let your THF pet kill like 300 of those, and then let another pet kill another 300. It really doesn't take long![]()
What is even stranger is that its criticals were doing less than normal hits at times.
i was just messing with it in altepa after augmenting another melody earring +1, so they're all pathetically too weak... but i noticed that too. lol
Capped pDif maybe. Players start to crit for almost the same as normal hits when they have a significant attack/str/level/etc advantage on mobs. However, since pDif cap for players increases slightly on criticals, we generally get slightly higher numbers instead of anything lower than normal attacks. I have absolutely no idea how Pet pDif may or may not differ from player pDif but it's certainly not odd to see crits and normal hits doing the same damage on TW mobs.
that's still a bunch of criticals... next 100 hits (+ or - 5.. i forgot where i started counting) yielded 20 criticals... 20% crit rate would be nice! More than likely a fluke though. I seem to have lots of those. I'll play with another one in kuftal tunnel while doing axe magain later today.
next 100... 14 crits..

That's awesome!
Thanks for testing this out![]()
Has anyone tried making the new jugs with just 60 cooking skill? My main craft is bonecrafting, so I'm stuck with 60 as my max for cooking. From looking at the wiki, I can at least make the sheep and lycopodium it seems. It'd be great if I could make that snow rabbit, though.
If I were you [and I'm not] I'd work on a trial weapon and parse the drop rates compared to whatever is standard. Confirming Gilfinder and anecdotal TH2 though is pretty awesome.
Here, you earned this:

lol, bst the new placebo thf to sub in last minute.
At least I have a TH job now.
I can't wait to see what the new Funguar jug is like.
I feel like it should have been the Mandy with Gilfinder and potential TH instead of the Lady Bug...

If you want to test out a potential TH2, go farm rams for an hour. They're incredibly touchy as far as TH is concerned on drops.
