Is 1/5 beast affinity good enough to keep the pets at my level for EXP and level sync purposes? The only reason I saw before to go 5/5 was to get fungys to 75 with AF2 hands.

Yeah should be, I can't see any of the level 76 jugs capping out before 80.
The new pets are very useful and strong. That's pretty awesome news about the ladybug, i haven't seen any mats or jugs up on Alex yet but I want to get hold of one ASAP now. I've been using the sheep a lot for general DD in MMM parties and campaign. They end up tanking in MMM without even putting rage up and just totally shred things in CB. The paralyze is very strong on the cat, it hits hard, and it makes a good kiting pet too. Something that worked at Raskovnik today was having my pet kite the NM after the tanks got charmed.
NursuryWhatever Sheep is usually frequently pulling hate off of PLDs in Campaign as far as I've seen.
Do normal charmable ladybugs also have these traits? They're also THF, could it be nobody ever really bothered checking before?
Ghod, here I am BST 75 for nearly 4 years and they finally release decent jugpets the same week I decide to quit. /rage
[edit - 1000th post ^^]
I have a parse of MMM I can post when I get home. I used the sheep and iirc I beat the sheep by a couple percent as bst/cor (and got smoked by a pup doing 1300 armor piercers). His accuracy was decent against VTs, certainly better than carrie which I used when we had to sync to 75. His accuracy was complete shit against the hippogryphs you can spawn in a MMM bird maze but so was everyone else's.
New jug pets are STRONGER than an EM pet. I just used my Sheep jug pet vs an EM Catoblepas not using any buffs on my sheep or debuffs with no pet+ gear. I did not fight along side my pet and my Jug pet did more damage per hit, also even with the Catoblepas using healing breeze my jug pet killed the EM Catoblepas with 23% of it's HP left.
I have been leveling BST lately, with it at 57 right now, but I kinda of lost interest until now. These much stronger Jug Pets, especially the bunny with AoE Wild Carrot sounds super appealing to me. I'm definitely thinking about taking it up again and getting it to 80.
BST the next bandwagon job!?
It's still worse than the other pet job for everything except stomping EPs and pup and smn don't exactly set the bar all that high. I know you were being sarcastic but I hope SE does more than throw more jugs at bst and tell them to go away because at the end of the day jug pets are just worse versions of avatars/puppets that cost money to summon. Here's hoping for the range of mobs charm works on opening up and new bst friendly exp camps being added.
What would be the difference the ladybugs in East Ronfaure [S] (45-47) and the jug pet?
Charmed warrior pets have double attack correct? Potentially they might also have fencer (2nd easiest trait to test for) so why wouldn't the other pets have their standard job traits?
Someone should just go charm a ladybug and kill some beastmen to test for gilfinder as well. Could have sworn there were more thief mobs that were charmable as well...
Taru BSTs look like teddy bears (I get sooo told off for telling the LS tarus this), but yeah my elf mule has BST as well - definitely gay.
WOW! That is so awesome the new jugs are performing nicely - even vs. exp level mobs. I was actually worried they were all going to be poo, when I read in the pre-update notes about new jug pets being added. /happy
Anyway, I have a crafting mule with 100+2 cooking and all other crafts @60, so I wanted to make a bunch of my own ( even though, also surprising, the prices on the AH are fairly reasonable for stacks of the new jugs ) ... but I can not find a recipe for the Deepbed Soil. Does anyone have this info? Or perhaps know a realible source? Much appreciated!
its a synergy recipe.. that's why
According to some other bsts, the crafting recipe is dark crystal with beech log, danceshroom, woozyshroom, and sleepshroom. (I think those were the 3 mushrooms). 100 cooking with 60 WW was reported to have 2/4 breaks... it might be woodworking main synth, or just a bitchy two craft synth.
Someone was saying the synergy recipe didn't work as listed by POL, it might be you need log instead, or that it's wrong completely.
