Do you have synergy leveled or something? I've done 4 stacks of arrows, no HQ. Are you supposed to align everything at perfection, including trying to balance out the negative useless stats?

im lvl 70 synergy. iv HQed 3/8 lemegton medalions, 2/2 pythia sash+1 plus random other crap.. you need the required elements to ideally be within 1 of target, the minus stats dont matter, the impurities dont matter. just get it as close as you possibly can, theses arrows are piss easy imo, can do a synth with 6-7 fewell feeds.

Nursery Nazuna's critical boost is no more from what I understand. I noticed right away when we first started using him/her last week that its critical rate was crazy and it seems we know why now. Why they did not include Call Beast pets as well, I have no idea.

This also partially confirms what we were mentioning earlier. Think of it this way. Monsters had the Fencer trait from the time of the update until today, but they took it out today so they obviously did not want it to be active for monsters. If they did not want monsters to have it they probably would have never added it to the roster of traits for monsters in the first place. It would be my guess that monster traits and player traits simply follow the same code and thus monsters had it until today. I think this is why monsters may have the traits of Gilfinder and possibly Treasure Hunter which serve no purpose whatsoever for anything other than BST. I really now think that this is just a coincidence that we have a pet with Gilfinder and possibly Treasure Hunter, and is not a direct intention of SE trying to give BST something useful like this. Wouldn't be surprised if this was removed eventually.

Not so fast. They removed one trait (Fencer) and left tons of other traits in, like Double Attack and Triple attack. Surely they realized that there are other traits on the Call Beast pets when they took Fencer off.

I would say that SE just implicitly gave an OK to all of the other traits.

You do realize Fencer might still be active in jug pets? I assume they took it off on normal mobs that you would fight so that you don't get owned by all the critical hits but left it on our pets, charmable (in the update notes) and possibly jug pets as well. Although I haven't tested the jug pets to see the critical hit rate for myself I am remaining optimistic.

If charmed mobs are deliberately stated as having fencer it seems obvious to me that jug pets would have it too. I can't follow why you're saying they shouldn't, certainly.

SE didnt really mention anything about jug pets. They said its disabled on monsters (duh), and said that when a monster becomes charmed, it gains Fencer. As far as jug pets having it, its up for debate. Just do another Sheep test?

Speaking of Fencer, has anyone gotten to play around with it on BST? The wiki says that there's a 40TP bonus on one-handed weaponskills. This seems huge for a BST/WHM or even BST/SAM. I feel like blitzing my BST to 80 just to play around with it.

It's nice to see some excitement from BST mains after getting shafted so long. Hopefully we won't be hit from some insane sudden rebuke from SE.

I read those update notes the opposite way from Neurotic. I read them that the traits are MEANT to become active when a pet is charmed (essentially becomes a semi-PC with a pale blue name, rather than an NPC), but were being active 100% of the time. Would explain what people had reported doing EP FoV spam that they'd been getting hit with crits out of the eyeballs.

Wouldn't be the first time SE had screwed up job traits across the board when adjusting them for players - 100% uncharmable cactuars anyone?! I'm sure there are BSTs around still picking needles out of their hair from that small incident.

Hopefully this works to quantify the Stout Servant testing BTW (excuse the shit paint job - no photoshop on this PC at the moment):

so about -5% damage taken. It's not much but at least it's something.

Yeah, it's like 4.7% or some crap, my initial tests were with a Valoredge frame for PUP, which I was initially unaware had a 12% or so native damage reduction trait, which now turns into something like 17%. 5% is a joke, but whatever.

However, I think there might be a MDB added in there, but that needs more testing to be sure I was just seeing things.

Yeah. I was just saying that if they specifically added it to charmed mobs (evidently a BST buff) it would make more sense for jugs to have it than for jugs not to have it (another BST buff.)

I would test it myself but my BST lingers at a couple of k into 75 =x

Interesting parse on ZAM, this guys jugs alone have outdone everyone bar a SAM in a 90 minute Abyssea run. Add in his damage (with a gimp setup too) and he's got nearly double anyone else.

Also i'm at 79 with capped BA and have been using Carrie in a few campaign battles just to rinse through the spare jugs I had. I'm very impressed with her so far, hits like a truck and with Scissor Guard up she's only taking damage in the teens for standard attacks. There is definitely life for her after 75 with BA. Out of interest has anyone confirmed or not whether she is capped at 75 without merits?

I can't get Spiral Spin to work with Dipper Yuly... even if I select from the menu without macros. All I get is an error message but if I select another TP move then it works instantly.

Has to do with windower re-writing everything as /ma and spiral spin is a blu spell, so it gives an error.

don't need 76 bst to test if jugs get fencer, just use a s. herbal jug. fencer is a level 45 war trait so a warrior main job pet(such as the level 43+ sheep) should get it at 45

    To support this statement:

How many people here have actually tried to get the ingredients for the ladybug?

    There's 3 options:

Choco dig in Thickets. "rare" drop

    Harvest in Grauberg. "rare" drop

Steal from a few select mobs.

In other words, if you want to make these things regularly, you need some thieves to steal them for you.

    I'm pretty sure it's not a coincidence.
