Looking for good F2P MMO

Thanks you two. Looking into what additional things I might need to just use my wired 360 controller. Have a PS3 controller as well but I am reading (on a completely unrelated forum today) that sometimes the driver used to allow PS3 controller use effs up your USB ports?

If you play a force. Keyboard is practically required. Otherwise yeah, definitely go controller.

For the keyboard shortcuts?

I just can't stand the controls on the keyboard, but still use the keyboard shortcuts when I need to while moving and doing everything else with the controller.

Yeah. Force classes have way too many spells to just use the regular inputs, the 1-9 hotkeys are a necessity. Although I suppose you can just get away with throwing stuff like Shifta and Deband on them, since you don't need to constantly cast those.

Just found this kind of interesting. Found it a few days ago and forgot that I had meant to toss it up in this thread. I don't know that I could play a 2D Old-School MMO and not go insane, but who knows.

Once they update to the C# version and allow new players I may have to check it out.

anything around like c9/divine souls/dragon nest/blade and soul that is already out and free to play? longshot i know but i'm looking for a good brawler mmo and i'm coming up short

Unless you want to play something like Dragonica, Dungeon Fighter Online, etc. you're out of luck. There's practically nothing in the way of localized 3d "brawlers".

LOCO open beta started... yesterday (or the day before?), messing about with that at the moment. It's like DotA/HoN/LoL but a little more involved in terms of gameplay (third person with direct control, not clickan like an RTS). Pretty fun so far but it suffers from the same fate of getting completely fucked over if you get bad teammates. I'm still doing the "Novice" map/mode since I just started, so I can't hold it against them just yet. Can see it being an annoyance, along with teammates quitting. Fortunately there's a reputation system so you can identify quitters and kick them if you desire.

ya, dragonica once you hit 40 it's super grindcore, dfo gets grindcore around 25 :/

I dunno if it was because I was spoiled by C9 but Divine Souls was exceptionally meh to me. Honestly wouldn't recommend holding out for it, although perhaps beta was missing content so the full version would be a little better.

They can certainly drag on if you have good teams on both sides, but once you hit mid-high levels I just stomp the fuck out of people with Irene. Feels good man.

aye c9 looks the best out of all of them but it completely blows that it's korean only (atm?)

S4 league is an old game I used to play. Decent graphics, fun addictive gameplay, but sometimes can be quite laggy. fun to jump off walls and hook around.

lineage II private servers

lineage II is by itself a pretty good MMO (still getting regular updates with as much content as would pass for an "expansion pack" for FFXI) but private servers, aside from making the whole deal free, resolve what you could call the game's "issues", being the extremely hardcore systems of leveling and gear acquisition, while also allowing people to make the most of the game's PvP (which is pretty great regardless).
