I have 100GB+ of music not having an SD card is a hell no. Ill keep my asus transformer with micro SD and SD(up to 2TB's of space in theory someday when a SD card is made that big)

as of now I have 64x2+ 16GB internal 144GB on it not bad at all. This is not Counting USB drives I can make. Hacks have made external HDDs ok for tablets now, its sick.

Anyone have issues with their GN losing data connection when you wake the phone? Usually fixes itself if I let it sit for a minute or 2, but if I pick it up from desk and hit the power button to wake it there is probably a 40% chance it will lose connection.

I also love my transformer because it supports SD card but I think the nexus 7 is pretty damn good

Nexus is ok for what it is, basically a supercharged Kindle Fire. It just has for me a few questionable choices. Obviously the SD slot as mentioned, no network versions, lack of rear camera, and resolution just feels a little...small. I'd like to seen a 1080p personally since it's main push is media.

its at a break even point in price(if not a lose) It is meant to be a budget item that is damn close if not better then other higher priced ones.

How often do you take pics with a tablet that your phone wont be better with? My transformer has the dock and I use evernote so the rear camera is nice. Most wont ever use it outside of "oh look what it does"

adding in a network card could add 40~50 in price for break even, then we can not say its a cheap tablet. Your talking about for the 32GB one 299.

Overall for its price, it is by far the best. It is even better then some higher priced ones so long as some of the items lost(camera and such) do not bug you. It is not for everyone, but for someone who wants a fast item to video chat, game, read and other basic tablet functions it is really good if you ask me.

There's a way to root the phone now, but still it's a dick move by Verizon...even worse is that when people took to twitter and blasted Verizon, they responded by saying that the "Bootloader is locked per the Manufacturer" which doesn't make sense as the other US carriers have unlocked bootloaders.

As far as the Nexus 7, I wouldn't say it's crap. To me, it's good for what it is...a better Kindle Fire. It's an E-book, movie streaming, app playing device that is reasonably priced. While there is a lack of expandable storage on the device, I believe they were simply targeting consumers who aren't looking for that or are storing their music and movies to the cloud.

This may be the wrong thread, but I figure since we're discussing Verizon, might as well ask here instead of starting a new thread just for this question.

I have the unlimited data plan on Verizon(grandfathered in) and back when I jumped to Verizon it was the fastest carrier when it came to 3g/ then later on LTE. How fast do u guys go through data on other networks? The only reason I feel kind of locked into Verizon is because of the LTE speed in my area(SF BAy Area) and the fact that I don't have to worry about limits when tethering my laptop or other devices. Do you guys think it would be worth it to terminate my verizon contract and jump into another network? I'm still reading the Verizon is the fastest and reliable, but I'm sick of this fucking Bionic lol.

Root is for use of getting pushed commands for roms only.

Developers have said they won't code for the verizon version because odds it will break on updates.

I side with them, last straw for me. I could care less I will find a way to stay under 5gb a month.

We do not have access to the kernel the most important part.

AT&T is hit or miss. Their LTE coverage is pretty much the big cities in Southern California like Los Angeles and San Diego. Everywhere else it's HSPA+ which gets an average of about 5-10Mbps. Los Angeles sits around 18-20 Mbps. San Diego by far has the fastest I've seen on AT&T out here.

I went to the mall to try out Tmobile's 4g network vs Verizon, good god Tmobile was slow as shit. I know its first world problems and all but the wait between loading up youtube videos and checking email on Tmoblie's network was very noticeable.

It happens every time. Even the most locked down phones get supported eventually.

I give it a month.

Or just wait for whatever the next top-end HTC phone is on Verizon and get that instead.
