Gs3 dev unlocked phone is being released for verizon by Samsung. It's not 100% but we might be able to port the new bootloader via Odin.

Will find out.

Think Droid 3 its still locked.
Ps. Not every phone gets unlocked, there is a decent shot the Gs3 will tho even if the dev devices do nothing to help. Reason being its not fully locked down with encryption.

There should be a thread on it at xda, it's fairly simple.

There is a package you need to download. And a simple flash if I remember. It was a leak of the boot image I think. I have all the files on my comp at my father's.

I'll drop it on my dropbox if you still need it in a few days when i'm there.

I am way to pissed at Verizon to buy it. But odds are it will be good.Root/recovery are gained and with the dev device you should at some point get unlock ~_~

Well my AT&T contract ran out a month ago, and I've been waiting for the right phone to come out to verizon to save about $40 a month. It's either this or wait for iphone5 for the most part. It should be rootable and whatnot soon right?

Alright looks like my friend at verizon is going to hold one for me tomorrow, and he's going to hook me up really well, so I'll have a white 16gb s3 tomorrow with extended battery prob (as long as size/shape doesnt change). Can't wait to get off the AT&T plan since I'll save so much a month. After looking over my iphone, I haven't really needed it jailbroken for the longest time even though it is, but the most I use that for is a theme right now. I haven't tethered in a while, I haven't used installous in a while, haven't been on cydia at all. So not being able to unlock/root right away won't be a huge deal to me, especially since it'll be my first android phone and I won't really know what to do with with root off the bat anyway.

Verizon S3 has already been rooted and a semi-complicated way of sideloading kernels to bypass the bootloader. Isn't pretty but it works. Should only get easier.

Is there a way to fix the Galaxy Nexus' shitty wifi reception? I can't connect to my offices wifi, but my old Samsung Galaxy S1 was able to do it no problem.

Running ICS 4.04. I can't download and install JB because it's WiFi only and I can't connec to the wifi... >_>

Ok got my phone, its cool.

Need some recommendations off the market.

Tapatalk, dropbox app, Google Music app(if not already on it), bar code scanner. Some rss reader if you nude that. Root explorer if you have root, mlb at bat if your order baseball fan, ad block plus(root again) some emulators.

I can go on and on if you would like lol.

Literally all I have is like chrome, google play came with it, espn shit, gsam battery, and airpush detector lol. Fucking n64 emulator gave me crap.

Let's see.
-waze:gpa social app. People post where they see construction, cops, and hazards. Not 100% correct but decent on Highways.

-tango:face time like, over network and wifi. World for Iphone and android.

-Astro file: if you don't have root explorer (or root) it also is good if you have server it can be used to download from it.


-location spoof: only needed if you have to dodge blackouts from say the mlb/nfl video feeds. I use it to see Yankees games by spoofing my location to somewhere in the west coast otherwise mostly pointless unless you like to spoof 4squar lol

-evernote: for school and such.

-cloud print: as it says print from your phone lol.

I'll post more that I love later. That's just a start.

Phone broke, need to replace ASAP. Was using a Galaxy S1, liked it. Provider is AT&T.

I'm leaning Galaxy SIII unless someone can convince me on the One X or another competitor.

I no little about the HTC-onex

Everything seems to point to them being fairly equal. I just no that the camera is better on the GS3. pushing closing to mid range still shooters I think. With video being close to mid range as well
