The problem with the Epic is that it only has TW2.5, not 3.0, so it's missing a tooooooon of features, that one being one of them, I think. Anyway, I'll look up the stuff you mentioned, thanks :D

If you rely on GPS, the Aria may be a better choice as the Captivate's kind of sucks. It's been improved already by people on XDA, but it's still not as good as some other devices right out of the box. Some people say they don't have issues with it though, so who knows.
@ Julian - I use this MixZing music App and in its options you can set it to appear on your lockscreen. No root needed.
For custom smaller icons I use this app, Desktop Visualizer (also no root needed). It is a must have for me as I create my own icons for apps I want to have on a home screen. Maybe redundant, but whatthefuckever. These icons above are the 'small size' and there is one smaller size available.
You aren't limited to squares of course. You create a full size image, on the entire widow nearly, or some more horizontal ones like I use for ANOTHER home screen of mine:

Is there a music player that only detects music in the folder you tell it to? I have another folder for like sound effects and shit, and I dont want to hear that when im listening to music
The one I linked to above, MixZing, only shows music in the folder(and subfolders if you choose) that you designate.
what's a good lock screen for DX running vanilla froyo? I tried lock 2.0 but it wouldn't unlock, set a lock code by itself, and I had to wipe data/cache to get access to my phone back lol
Yay, I fixed my phone I think, I downgraded it to 2.0.1
Just tried rooting 2.2, didnt work so wiping and going back down to 2.0.1 then to 2.1 for root access
Anyone know how to stop the droid from checking updates and trying to install, I dont wanna installing it on accident

Choice is a good thing, and Android users certainly have a lot of choices. Default launcher or Launcher Pro? Fancy animated live wallpaper or static picture of adorable puppies? Stock browser or alternative? It's that last question that has plagued so many, and to offer some guidance PC World pitted six of the Market's top choices against each other. The 2.1 and 2.2 stock browsers entered, along with Skyfire 2.0, Opera Mini, Dolphin HD, and Mozilla Fennec (the pre-beta release of what could bring Firefox to your phone). The winner? Well, you can see the ultimate speed results above, with SkyFire surprisingly trumping Opera Mini, though that one seemingly has 'em beat when it comes to repeat-visits. However, the full story when it comes to things like page rendering and Flash compatibility is naturally a good bit more complex. For those details you'll need to click on through.
god this is annoying this shit out of me now... I'm installing BB V0.5 and the market keeps fucking up someway or another
What phone are you installing BBv.5 to? I thought it was only for the original droid?
Well sorry mr ragnell. I actually thought you had the inc, and if you were able to run BB on that, I woulda asked you how you did that because I want it on my X also <_< I actually wasn't sure if someone ported it to other phones or if it was even droid 1 only. <_<
G2 stock out of the box ran a quadrant of 1576;
What would rooting this benefit me? Is it my understanding that wireless tethering app's require root access to install? etc etc, quick explanation please o/
Hmm, I wouldn't know for a G2 but if you want I can list the features for the Droid
Sure, I'm just relatively unfamiliar with rooting and want to see if its something that would be worth my time to learn...basically whether or not I'd use what it gives me.
