I was going to but then I read that you have to have the amazon app running or you cannot use any of the apps. I haven't had too much time since reading that yesterday to follow up and see just how true that is. Not sure that would really even be a dealbreaker, but so far there isn't much I have wanted to grab.

ya I have no clue how amazon can keep up free apps... All I can say is I hope it stays like this lol. Lot of decent apps they are giving out.

I missed shazam, but im fine with that I have unlimited tagging anyways, so thats fine(my Thunderbolt was being fixed... DoA sim card lol)

nope, I looked in my running services and Amazon appstore is not running. And I was able to run Angry Birds Rio and Shazam...

very good to no, I dont see a reason not to keep the store though, its great free apps? why the hell not lol

Yeah, shows that a lot of times it is pointless to read the 'reviews' on the appstore. Whole lot of bitching, not a lot of info. Thanks for checking. I do wonder if you can still use the apps if you delete the Amazon App. Makes sense that you wouldn't be able to, but then if it isn't running all the time then why would you need to dump it anyway.

Do any of you guys know how to take your homescreen count from 5 to 3 in ADW EX, I can do it in ADW free, but after I bought ADWex I can't find any where anywhere in the settings to go back down to 3 home screens.

Sorry, I use LauncherPro, never tried ADW since LPro did what I wanted it to. I am reading that for ADW you press Menu, then Edit then look for a plus button on the top to add screens to that side? Just a quick search, sorry I don't know for sure.

EDIT: Oops you said you wanted to reduce the number of screens... hmm, not sure then if it isn't on that screen.

from homescreen, should be menu then edit, then just hit "X" over the screen u want gone

And this "Free Paid App of the Day" doesn't really matter much when you can just search for the apks on google or download "Applanet" and get them from there...

They don't have many viruses for the android platform afaik, but anyone feel free to correct me. I haven't gotten any from using it. just pay attention to the permission list when installing shit i guess..

some programs are cheap. And I pay for them, but others are just way overpriced. 90% of the time Ill end up buying the real thing a few weeks later. Happened with rom Poweramp,taptalk, NES emulator, robo defense, GBCoid. Could of never bought them if it was not for applanet really lol.

Funny how that works, but a lot of the shit I dled for free I did end up buying in the long run. maybe its no longer free, but its really nice when an update comes that you get it and dont have to wait a week.

I'm gonna buy robodefense tonight I think. I read that amazon has come out with some online emulator that you can test paid apps with.
