Been using CM6 since release. Loving it, Don't use HDMI, FM Radio, or 4G anyway, so it's great for me. Heavily improved performance. Netarchy's new kernel is getting implemented into the new builds. I helped the dev's test the fps fixes for the nova screens and helped determined which versions support 3 and 5 touch support :D

CM 6 is built straight from the Google source code (no native Evo code) so they haven't finished those yet since they not native to the nexus one. I remember reading that they had the hdmi figured out, they just haven't committed to the nightly builds yet.

On a more important note if they used this method on the X then there is no reason they won't use it on the Droid 2. Thinking of getting an Incred or something HTC if the Droid 2 is really the same way.
Speaking of this post. The droid x generates a one use authentication code that is nearly immediately used and deactivated when grabbing the update.zip for the phone. That and wireshark etc haven't been coming up with working update.zips because of how the data is being transmitted, and can't even repair it because each one is segregated differently. They've got like 5-6 different ones, none of which work, or have been repaired properly.

I mean, I can pry open the phone, and given the software could pull everything off using my school's jtag equipment for HDL implementation on FPGA's.

I'm sure wireshark won't work unless you put the phone into airplane mode then turn the wifi on otherwise it may still be pulling over 3g even if you are connected to a wifi hotspot.

They've done it with multiple pieces of software. They can't get two that are the same.

Might want to add PDAnet in the useful apps section. It's a pretty neat tethering app.

You could use a 2.1 rom till Cyanogen is done. I am using Fresh, DamageControl is good too, while I wait for Cyanogen release.

One month to my evo :D :D :D can't wait

Stupid(ish) question: Is there any way to download/install apps that you have to pay for?

I'm pretty sure I was able to with my lolitouch (wow that sounds bad, lol), just curious if it's possible on Android. Planning on rooting it, obviously. If not I guess it's not THAT much of a problem since I actually have money now and could buy apps I wanted, but hey!

You don't need to root to install apps that you're supposed to pay for. Just look for a program's .apk files via google/torrents.

I use this website for some apps, most of them are updated, unlike the torrents. Install them via a file manager, but first allow non market apps to install.
