Launcherpro+ is adding in "Sense-like" widgets, so far it's just People and Bookmarks though.

The only widget in Sense that I don't think can really be replicated is Friendstream, everything else has equal or better options.

Pure Calendar Widget, Switchpro for power toggles, Genie Widget for News/Weather, Beautiful Widgets or Fancy Widget for the Clock/Weather combo.

what does he mean by

I'm not sure if thats even a deal breaker for me cuz im not sure if its even working properly now.

Facebook wouldn't sync contacts properly and the Market under normal circumstances would not show protected apps since Froyo isn't officially available for the Evo yet. Both are hacked now and work normally, Cyanogen just won't officially include them as part of his ROM or the Gapps set since he's gotten in trouble with Google before for things along those lines.

I can't speak for the Facebook fix since I don't use it, but the Market hack works 100%. And as far as I know the Facebook hack worked perfectly too.

As you said, Evo just got RC1 but all other phones on CM6 just got bumped to RC2. ;o

OK so the things I clicked on to backup in Titanium Backup... they will be able to be restored when I Install CM6?

Yup, just do a batch restore and all your apps will be reinstalled with their settings intact. You usually want to do a reboot right after though, just to make everything stick.

OK I got CM6 on there... after a shit ton of painstaking work. I couldn't just use unrevoked or any of that stuff. it just wasn't working because the phone came with the latest OTA update.

NOW I need to figure out how to connect it to the computer so I can throw the gapps zip file on there because i forgot to put it on the sdcard before i flashed CM6 on there. If I reboot into recovery mode and put the gapps file on there and flash it. it wont fuck anything up right?

My 2 year contract (Sprint) wont be up until Sept 1st ish, is there anyway that I can renew it and get my Evo like, a week from now? (3 weeks before the contract is actually up, although I guess waiting another 3 weeks isnt too bad :/)

idk much about this, last phone was my first phone ever, and I'm on my family's family plan, idk

I only have experience with VZW's family plans but they usually have been good about letting other members of my plan upgrade phones as long as they were within like 3 months of their renewal date and the people got their usual new phone discount.

I honestly may just go back to a rooted sense rom.I already was using flash 10.1 apk for android 2.1 and the free tethering app..

is there any reason to use cm6 other than speed and getting rid of sense. although it didnt seem too slow to me to begin with

Verizon is being a douche about it to me. I called them up and they said I can buy droid x for 299 but I dont get the mail in rebate you would otherwise get... I'll go back and try on the 4th I guess...

Edit: to be clear my contract is up aug 17th, droids get shipped on the 4th. Good luck though lemme know how you make out.

Did you try call up customer service? I found they were able to change things around for me. Store people work on commission right? If you came in and said that I'd tell you to get the fuck out too and than play with my DroidX >:3

Sprint lets you upgrade every year, don't gotta wait for every 2 year.

Might have to pay a bit more than waiting 2 years for a new phone, but you would still get a discount.
