Woke up this morning with my Droid 3 saying Cool down state is starting, the thing was literally burning, thats how hot it was, not sure what triggered it to get that goddamn hot but I hope that never happens again

My battery also did not charge, left my house on 30%

What do your battery stat's look like (with screen on time as well)? Are you running location/gps? CDMA or Global? Wifi, etc? Some people seem to be having no issues at all, my battery's been weird, but getting better. First charge from 100%-20% took like 3 hours (heavy use). Second cycle I charged it off for about 6-7 hours, then went 11hours (mild use) 100%-15%. Third cycle currently at 1hr38min off the charger and at 80% (mild use).

I've got Global off and CDMA on, currently using Wifi, google location services, and I've been leaving background data on. Some people have been getting 16-18 hours with some battery left over... hoping that eventually is the case for me. I read that some people suspect that some (or possibly all?) of the D3's radios may be searching for service even when there is a signal, hence everyone's really high cell standby times and the really hot phones when they aren't being used.

yeah I think my a droid 3 is also acting up my radio time seems to be really high, gonna def return it tomorrow If I can

I'm thinking about buying an Android on At&t and I'm wondering which androids are best? I was looking at the Samsung Captivate and it looks good and has high reviews. Is that one any good or is there a better one for around the same price?

got droid 3 ext. battery yesterday. it's great. adds no bulk or size at all. ext. battery is same size as normal battery. no need for bigger cover or having to get a bigger case.

Rag LP uses less memory than blur so the phone should perform better. I switched to lp and haven't looked back.
