Seeing it's a Verizon exclusive they might have had something to do with it as well. Verizon doesn't want to sell people iPhones or Debloated Android devices. They want to sell people phones with all their bloatware on it, i.e the droid series phones, HTC sense etc...

By the way, the delay of the announcement was confirmed by both Google and Samsung to not affect release dates on any of their products.

It's still gonna come out the same day as before. We just won't know what day that is for a little while longer.

I fail to see what either have to do with each other tbh.

Considering majority of samsung moile devices are designed on par with alot of apple products, and many android features were the same way.....

Could say there was a connection between apple/steve jobs/google/samsung.

(Yes, I know google had the idea of mobile android a few years before iOS was released..... but alot of the ideas included in the OS now are items that apple implanted first.)

Apple/Steve jobs opened the mobile market to what it is now..... without the products they released, who knows if we would even have this device coming out in 2011.

So my Bionic lost 4g a few days back and hasn't gotten it back yet. I took it to the verizon store, and they said it's a "known issue" and there's a software update rolling out in November to fix it. Anyone else having this issue/know of any other way to possibly fix it?

Try a hard reset on it?

I've pulled the battery and all that jazz. I may just restore the phone to factory defaults and see what happens...

Edit: Factory reset didn't bring 4g back. Bleh.

best bet would to be try and ask on the xda forums...... I took a peak over there, but only saw complaints from people that completely lost data...3g/4g

I would lose my shit if I paid $300 for a phone + an expensive Verizon data plan and my phone stopped working properly. Firmware update fix in November or not, I'd want that shit swapped out immediately and they could resell the one with the issue as refurbished after the Nov. update.

Got my bionic yesterday charged it to full and so far its been running on 3g for 12hrs and its still at 60% not to shabby i shouldn't complain. But holy shit wtf is half this junk on my phone i'll never use

Edit: not to bad first drain from full with moderate use was 19hrs with wifi on and a few phone calls plus texting

So it seems that the initial specs that were posted are the correct specs for the new Nexus phone. Lacks LTE but oh well. Btw it just went through FCC with TMo/ATT bands.

I saw the FCC approval for a version ATT/T-mobile friendly, but I didn't see any confirmation on either set of specs being definitive yet. Still seeing everywhere listing the specs as rumor, I thought we wouldn't see a confirmation on anything till they rescheduled the announcement.

We had all kinds of ridiculous rumors about the iPhone 5, and then the day comes and it doesn't exist.

The last nexus phone had sprint 4G in it......I don't see them dumping LTE/4G in there next phone.

Just seems like a bad idea

This losing my data connection bug on my bionic is kinda frustrating me they say its a know issue and should be fixed but its driving me up the wall.

is it 4g and 3g? if you dont mind the hit in net speed try turning off the evdo/lte mode and just doing cdma. I mean it sucks not having 4g but 3g that does not cut out is better then nothing ~_~.

Then again if its software that may not fix it still, but worth a try.

My girlfriend has had this issue. She turns on airplane mode then turns it off and her 3g/4g comes back.

so its a radio screw up. Never understand how they screw up shit like that. I mean the system has something built in that tells you when it has a hiccup how hard is it to leave the phone on for like a week and see if that happens lol

ALMOST (but not quite) starting to wish I didn't get the D3 and waited for one of these nexus phones, but I'll hold up for another 9 months or so till it's been a year and push them for an early upgrade/sell the phone.

The way they explained it to me when i called is the bionic is always looking for a 4g signal even with 3g only selected and instead of just staying on 3g like it should it totally drops the connection when it can't find 4g. Sounds really stupid to me though
